@whiteka4 That's actually Gordon Kennedy. Gordon wrote most of the songs on "Mosaic" & is one of the writers of Eric Clapton's hit song "If I Could Change the World.
As much as I love Ricky Skaggs' bluegrass work (especially his album BRAND NEW STRINGS), MOSAIC is still a great album...the fact that it's so different from anything else he's done is a big part of that. When I bought MOSAIC about a week ago, I was hoping to get another album with guitarist Cody Kilby and, even though he didn't play on it, I can't help but love the album. Ricky Skaggs is a great artist...and not just when it comes to his bluegrass work.
you know it bothers me to no end that there are those who only want to be fans of Ricky's as long as he does what they want him to do. if you can't hang with what he's doing, then you've got a problem. this glorifies God. this is the kind of album he wanted to make. let him do what's on his heart.
while i am not qualified to carry Ricky's guitar case i must say that this for him, is to far left for me! Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young along with the Eagles, have already blazed the Cum Ba Ra trail. i love Ricky and the good Lord and anything that put our savior first but i would rather hear him sing tunes like, "Somebody's prayin for me"! you can tell that a California producer was behind the board on this and they have never been a good mix with a real country artist. especially Rick Skaggs
Great Song! Is that Darren Vincent playing the lead break?
