  • Tổ cha mấy tháng Công An Đà Nẵng.

  • omg! the red tall building with those big green ad banners at 2:22 is where i used to live in for more than 10 years!!! thanx for the video!

  • @Shiqna1 That was my first video and most popular.

  • Check out rat running across sidewalk in broad daylight (2:39). Anyway, I remember a medivac mission just outside Danang in 1970. ARVN soldiers in a truck had run over a 500-pound bomb VC had buried under road. One of poor guys lost his leg. It looked like a steak with a bone in center. I assisted in getting him into my helicopter. Other guys were bloody and tore up. Last sortie, we picked up last victim. A trickle of blood from his nose and ears. He was in best condition but dead.

  • @tienphuc69 It's interesting how a rat in the street in broad daylight can evoke so many strong memories. On my first return trip and on my first walk outside my hotel, the first creatures I met were 5 rats running from a small heap of garbage. I had to laugh and also remembered so many things from my first trip in 69. I had forgotten about the rats and so many other trivial things that filled up our lives.

  • I love the way he cross the street :))

  • i like your videos. i just came back from danang. i had a wedding ceremony. the wife is in danang, i sure miss her and danang. i do remember indocinha plaza where we bought our wedding bands and ate at the indochina plaza food court. i miss eating oc " snails ". thank you for the video

  • @houtxman1 I know the feeling. This is how I ended up here.

  • Thanks so much. If you ever film around that area please let me know. I spent a lot of time from DaNang to Quang Tri. I have been all over the world, and I believe Viet Nam is the most butiful that I have ever seen. A lot of memories. Thanks

  • @quelneuf Adding to Vietnam's natural beauty are the warm hearts of the VN people.

  • I lived in DaNang for 11months, 4days. can you take any video of around the old white elephant hotel or DaNang hotel, along the river, close to monkey mt. Thanks for the memory.

  • @quelneuf White Elephant is gone but the DN Hotel is still here.

  • I ride the scooter on that street almost everyday for the past couple months, my daughter loves the plastic butterflies along the side walk.

  • i was on the han river also

  • what a cute little chaos there, kind of reminds me on City´s in southern France(behind the tourist coast strip) or Italy

  • thanks so much for this video....! such a good tour-guide! Da Nang is my hometown but im not living there....your video is so meaningful to me! I like your accent of" Giu xe"=> cool!

  • Wow, so lucky, to live near the market and the river looks super nice!

Yeah, I heard DaNang is clean and really nice now=] I'm so excited to go back and eat all the wonderful foods over there!

  • Reminds me of when I was in Da Nang, 69.

  • I was just there, sept 09.I had a fantastic time, spent 3 weeks there, met alot ,and kept alot of great friends.

  • Thanks for the nice video, I'd lived the first 18 years of my life here and this brings back memories.

Nice to hear it narrated by a foreigner too.

  • Thanks, These shots of Vietnam are popular with Viet Khieu or expats who have lived here. db

  • NIce, I was born and had lived in Vietnam for 16 years. Love Danang so much. I think you having much fun there right? Your understanding of Vietnamese language is really good. Your Vietnamese accent is awesome too.

  • Thanks that's generous of you to say that. The people I work with in Hanoi don't understand me at all. i love Da nang too give me a post before you come back and we can meet.

  • yep man Danang looks great :) I was there just for a few hours (lived in HCM), but the roads are *large* and there is so much space. There's even a BigC and a Megastar + Hoian's beach just about 20km away. However there are tsunamis ... ;) I guess that's why the city is a bit off the coast

  • Da Nang is a nice place to live but there are many challenges. It's not for everyone.

  • wich kind of challenges you mean??

  • Well, it's totally different than the US. You have to change your expectations on what can be accomplished and when. Nothing will happen as you plan. If you let things unfold, something better will happen. There's a lot more but can not talk about it to a stranger over the internet.

  • ok tnx

  • loved the vid. Wish I could live in Vietnam.

  • Great little city. It's home for me.

  • miss mah hometown so much :(

  • man i wanna go back to Viet Nam

  • Spent 6 months in Danang area in 1969 as a Navy Seabee and taught English at the Tay Ho school in Civic Action program. It's good to see that it is a sleepy little post colonial city again, but somewhat surprising to see high rise buildings.

  • i just got back from a 1 month trip it was amazing

  • So excited to go to vietnam in september, must be wonderful to live there. Danang is definitely on the list!
