hey. have you done something with your saw so it run better ? have a Stihl MS 260 with a 18'' bar I think it is struggling a little bit to much so i want a little bit more power in it. do you have any advise?
Ugly trees with much branches, not much timber there but good work there otherwise. But your hunting videos are pretty good atleast your a true countryside man not like the city hunters. have a good day
Hey bud...... I'm running a 460 stihl with a 64 piston the head was raised about 1/8" Because the 64 piston is a bit bigger then the 46 piston. Ported polished It's a Screamin fine tuned machine! I also run the 32" Oregon Lite bars. Full comp chain.
I had a bracket made but an easy way to do it is to stack a bunch of gaskets together. You'll have to trim about an 1/8" off the bottom of your piston to clear the cranks counter balance too. Best of luck!
i wasn't wondering myself but i was clarifying for some Canadian why they cut down. He asked why stupid Americans butcher stumps buy cutting down. but his question made no sence.
at 0:24 I was like "WTF are you doing? Oh, those are wedges." I thought you got a chainsaw stuck and you were beating on it to get it out

what do you all use a skidder or a yarder
hardwoodslogger 3 years ago
depends on how steep the ground is. Not to many skidders around these parts. Most of the flat ground is logged with a cat and a loader.
mrhhawkeye 3 years ago
thats better than what we got we just got a deutz tractor but it works pretty good we pulled a 5 foot thick pin oak with over the summer

whats the difference from cutting the notch down (on the sump) or up (on the tree)to sell it with a nice bottom?
thanks
matt9923 3 years ago
mills out west wnat the logs squared so they cut a humbolt notch (undercut down)if it was cut up then you would get less wood
