While injuries, particularly life threatening or permanently crippling injuries are tragic - by all accounts police squads have been overwhelmingly conservative in their use of force. The occupy protesters are comprised of hippies, racists and idiots. They were given a warning to leave the area because they were being a public nuisance, (blocking off paths to work and such). They have no one to blame but themselves for their problems. We even have them in Australia, which is just an outrage! They're abusing the rights that their country gave them. While injuries, particularly life threatening or permanently crippling injuries are tragic - by all accounts police squads have been overwhelmingly conservative in their use of force. Our government hasn't suppressed the right to assembly and protest by OWS. In most cases, police intervention is necessary due to basic sanitation issues.
