yes i agree it takes alot to make me cry but every time i watch lion king i at least shred a tear when Scar kills Mafasa and Simba starts crying so sad :(
Poor Dot. :'( I was not expecting that moment to be on here, but I completely agree, that was one of the most depressing parts of my entire childhood right there.
Oh my god are you serious. What about the scene from Why Charlie Brown, Why? where Linus And Charlie Brown had just saw Janice and when they were walking home ( Linus was walking alone at this time) and he started crying? And the song that played during that same scene?
I think the last scene from the South Park episode "You're Getting Old" deserves mention, especially given that the show is almost always played for laughs.
But of course, that couldn't have been included, since the episode aired after this video was made.
The Iron Giant, Wall-E can't touch that. Yeah giant robot who wants to superman goes and saves everyone by impacting a nuke fired in an attempt to kill him.
The Lion King is one of the saddest movies that i have ever seen...
when i was little i cried so hard that it hurt so nowadays i'm thinking "maybe its not as bad as an adult" *watches it* OMG :'( *cries* who shows a death on screen to little kids for crying out loud!?!?
...I have to say...about the last twenty minutes of Toy Story 3 and Jessie's song topped my saddest scenes...as sad as Mufasa's death makes me (every single time!), it didn't make me sob like a baby like TS3 did.
I agree muffasas death is the saddest i have seen lion king over 1 million times and every time i cried one time i cried so hard i went over to my dad and cried in his arms and said please dont ever leave me and he said i wont sweety i wont and i did the same to my brother 5 days later said the same thing but he first said oh if you left me and mom i would cry like crazy i said dont leave me either and we cried into eachothers arms ;(
Jessie's scene definitely made me cry. I had to run to the bathroom so that no one would see me and I was in there for about 10 minutes. Same with the Lion King.
I dont believe hamlet and lion king are close. Hamlet spends the whole play trying to kill the king, his father murder. but that part in Lion King is freaking sad!!!
I started playing with all my old toys again after I watched Toy Story 2, I felt so bad. And to me, it's when Simba refuses to leave his dad and slepts next to him one last time that really gets me.
ehh, the lion king scene had already been done before and better. For my money the scene in The Land Before Time when littlefoot talks to his mom for the last time was better.
You're right. I would've definately included that scene if this were my list. Also the "Courage the Cowardly Dog" episode "The Last of the Starmakers". Still a good list. Most of these moments were indeed very sad, and Mufasa's death deserved #1 place, but the ending of "Jurassic Bark" should've been #2.
I TOTALLY agree with number one this is the ONLY movie that I still tear over regardless of it being 16ish years old
Poor Simba...it sucks even more that he's blamed for Scar's death in the second movie when the Hyena's are the ones that really finished him (though he rightfully deserved it)
Oh my goodness I didn't know the girl from Animaniacs died...I'm tearing..yeah Toy Story 2 scene hurt me hard....dude why would you go and put that last scene in there. I had to walk away from my computer and cry in private.
number one is good like you said what made ppl cry was the bit where they sohwed simba trying to wake dad up, it time to go home, that did make me sad
Good list, most of the scenes you included are real tear-jerkers. Just a thought: what about the scene in Dumbo when Dumbo visits his mother when she is in captivity for "attacking"? That scene always makes me cry.
Seriously good stuff, totally agree with practically all your choices ESPECIALLY the top 2. Hell, i got a bit weepy eyed just watching that Lion King scene again. Keep up the awesome work. I really do love listening to your thoughts, you give such intelligent and well thought out choices to the animated videos you make.
#2 was my pick for the saddest animated scene. Every time the song came on I started crying because I felt bad for Jessie. Toy Story 3 is Toy Story 2 all over again.
4. I remember that! I felt my heart beat through that part! 3. Oh God was that sad!! I didn't see it coming at all! 2. Waah! I always sing that song when it comes on. Sooo sad! 1. I'm not surprised this was first. My mom STILL won't watch this scene without crying! It hits us hard every time we watch it! T-T
@thenhlkid95 scrat doesnt die u idiot,ok mabye he nearly did then he went to acorn heaven he was enjoying it and evreything but sid gave him the kiss of life and saved him.scrat wasnt really happy so he started beating him up lol then comes ice age 3 wich u will see scrat in it and no in heaven also he makes love with a squirrle called scratte
@coralinefj Yeah, I guess that scene is sad since it signifies the end of the childhoods of the generation who grew up with Toy Story and Pixar (of which I am definitely in).
I agree with many of the scenes on your list :'( But did you make this list before UP came out? If so, would you have put the death of Ellie, and/or the "Stuff We Did" scene on the list?
but seriously why didnt u include ray's death? in my opinion thats the big one. i mean u think that there just going to fake us out but no he ended uo stone cold dead.
