i know the reason, maybe the one you have was a European version.. if you played the MHF2 US version, then u can only transfer that data to a MHFU US version only.. you can't transfer it to a EU version.. :D.. if you really wanna play yer old char, then dwnld a US version.. my friend had the same problem.. :D
