Barbara is being a little bit too optimistic here. There most definitely are people who push for abortions. I accompanied my friend to a feminist rally once and it came clear through certain people we talked to. Thankfully not all, but some.

I am a feminist, and i believe that sherry made a huge point about how PP pushes women to have abortions even if they have second thoughts. Women need to be presented optiions, like adoption. PP is a BUISNESS. Women's health is not their first priority, MONEY is. They just want more women to buy their "services" and I don't believe that they really care about women at all. Whether you believe abortion is right/wrong, we need to open our eyes and know that there is so much under the surface.

I don't know what PP you're going to but the one near my house, they never pressured me or any of my friends that have gone there to have abortions. They gave me options, lots of pamphlets and other resources if I wanted to change my mind. Not to mention I had three different consultations if that's what I wanted. Barbra is right, some clinics are bad, but not all.

When I became pregnant and went to planned parenthood, the doctor gave me two lists: one of abortionists and one of OB/GYNs, but she never pressured or even advised me to go in either direction. She gave me all the information and materials I needed to make my own decision. I had already decided abortion was out of the question for me personally, but I never felt pressured either way.

I think people considering abortion should see the video that shows exactly what they are destroying. They will see it is not just a blob of cells as they want to believe, but another living, feeling human being. For those of us having trouble having our own baby, please consider giving the baby up to another loving, caring family.

I believe it's only the females who surrendered to, or resisted against abortions that have a heavy say on this matter. I also stand against it, and i believe even though you make a baby on accident, you should born it.

An unborn child is a whole living human being. A person. Intentionally killing a whole living human being for any reason, at any time is flat out murder. How can there be "good clinics" who will slaughter your children for you, to avoid the inconvenience of being a parent?

Another thing, if one can choose whether or not to kill their child in the womb, why can't another choose to kill their neighbor for one reason or another? It's all a matter of coice, huh? To me, it's black and white when LIFE is involved! MURDER is not an option - whether within the womb or out!

I am pro-life, but I think everyone should be given free choice. I believe it is what our beautiful country was founded on, and I also believe it is what Christianity was built on, freedom to choose Jesus. That said, I think it is criminal that we do not inform people and we make it TOO easy to get an abortion. We care more about saving the dolphins that human beings. I do believe that once conceived you are a treasured part of God's plan and that should not be taken so lightly.

Every woman I know who went to Planned Parenthood with an unplanned pregnancy was rushed toward abortion -- I witnessed the conversation when one 17 year old friend was scheduled over the phone without going to PP or having a history taken.

You're talking about teenagers who were PREGNANT. At that point it's already too late. And it's a time emergency, if you care about avoiding late-term abortions.

Women should be getting access to reproductive medicine before they even have sex for the first time, not after they're already pregnant.

America's goal should be planned parenthood. Adults shouldn't have unprotected sex unless they're ready to have a child. Children shouldn't have unprotected sex at all!

People sincerely committed to preventing pregnancy are focused on education and birth control and making sure young women don't have to have a baby in order to feel loved. And none of that has anything to do with arresting doctors.

The -real- anti-abortion position is to be working sincerely to prevent the pregnancy--not working to "punish" a teenage girl after it's already too late to do anything about it.

The right answer is to PREVENT unplanned pregnancies from happening in the first place. You can't raise the baby until you've built the nest.

And in this day and age, ideally, that means a college degree, a husband, a job, and a home. And health insurance! And a little bit of money in the bank because children are so incredibly expensive.

People who are still trying to criminalize abortion after the decades of debate this country has gone through on this issue have got to accept that abortion is painful for a mother and child, the extreme poverty that can result from single motherhood interfering with one's education is painful for a 17-year-old mother and child, giving a baby up for adoption is painful for a mother and child, marrying the wrong boy is painful for a mother and child.

There IS no good option.

Actually, a fetus cannot feel anything until the 28th week. It has not developed the connections to the brain that it needs to perceive pain. So really, not painful at all.
