it's interesting an rc drone was used, presumably with flares attached somewhere. We used to send out these rin-tin missiles with flares on their backsides... ballistic aerial targets, for missile target practice. it would seem these drones allow for longer target acquisition time.

The Stinger missile is not comparable to the Igla russian manpad. I know some of you might turn to the soviet-afghan war and all the soviet jets-helicopter gunships were shotdown. If one takes a look at when these jets-helicopter gunships were shotdown it would be in the beggining of the soviet-afghan war. And because the soviets did not know that the afghans had iglas, nor that they had the knowledge to use them, so they were flying at low alltitude . the new stinger can go 50 TIMES FASTER .
