i just purchased a ss10 putting together now.i purchased two bodys one for a custom paint and one for box art to display it ,,video of assembly and paint soon,. they look so cute .i think i will brushless it as well i have a few engines laying around. .i have a slash on 3s lipo billet alloy parts custom paint
and a kyosho truggy sti novac 4.1 brushless 4s lipo . and i think i might purchase a sc8e some time in the future. and sell the kyosho
Nice pics in the beginning, great color choice on that scorcher. Your video has me thinking about getting one and installing a brushless system. Check my vids too, not off road cars, but plenty of jumping.
@dudebro313 ^_^ thanks friend! get a scorcher and when you will fit brushless system ask me for details with no reserves! I will tel you! going to watch you vids now! :D bye
@diegobobcat … hi, I am intending to buy a buggy champ rerelease 2009 and since I think that the chassis matches the one of the ss, I wanted to ask what kind of motor you would use, how strong you would go. You write, that a friend of you blow up by using a 9T motor with the ss – so using a 5T would consequently be worse with the buggy champ … And what kind of possible modifications would you suggest, if any … Greetings … David
@david444448 Hi David! yes the best setup is the 13T motor with 60A esc. The HobbyWing EZRUN 13T motor fits perfectly in the metal gear box ! With this setup i go real fast and incredible torque!!! With a lipo batt too is unstoppable! :D I think (mt experience teach me lot) a 5 T motor is not really good! don't think just to push a car overlimits but think to have a fast durable car to have fun and go fast ! My setuo is the good balance between performance and damage prevents. Trsut me :)
@diegobobcat ... sorry to bother you again, how can you attache the motor to the gear box, because the plastic cover is meant to fix it ... do you make some holes in the gear box or can the plastic motor box cover perfectly fix the ezrun motor ... it would be of great help to me, if you could carry out how you managed to fix the motor ... thank you ... david
@david444448 Hi bro!!! no problem! you're always welcome to get answers! :D The ezrun motor fits perfectly ;) this is a good reason why choose it too....and....if some happen you can smooth the chassis with sand paper, just a little 'couse the chassis is very easy to work, anyway never happen some like that. The motor match perfecly the diameter and little pins to be hold in place then the pastic cover will close well ! If you want I can sand pictures if you provide me your mail addres, :)
@diegobobcat ... Hi Diego, here my email address david.viola@bluewin.ch, so you can send me the pics. It would be of great help to me to see how it worked, how it looks, when the cover is up, and how the motor back looks, before I buy the ezrun. I will take the 9T. I have a differential and will maybe install a slipper clutch. Thank you for your help … not many are so willing to assist ;-) … David
@diegobobcat ... hi diego, do you have a cover for the motor box that matches, since the cables would not fit through the holes of the provided motor box cover ... or do you know, where one can get such ... David
Yes! The motor in perfectly fitted inside the metal gear box and I add little bit of silicone too on the plastic covers (motor and main gear covers). Is important to install the right motor with right diameter. I will send you another video that show what kind of motor and esc I fitted on. Bye

Thank you :) My Mardave Stockmaster is pushed along by a very old Tamiya diff which has been amazingly good, there´s a plug so you can add oil without opening the diff. Incredibly, I´ve never had to open it since 1991, though it has always just had a 540 brushed motor.
Hi, I can suggest you the right setup, I never had problems. I fit 13T Hooby Wing motor, 60A hbby wng ESC and work with 70T main gear. I friend of mine pushed to much with 65T main gear and 9T motor and blowup! If need pic or any kind of info please send me your private mai. I will be glad to tell you anything you need man! Bye
What was the brand/ name of the motor or which motors do o need to look for to fit the super champ which is a food solid 60a esc to get for it and what gearind should I use 75maim gear witha 15tooth pinion
I have a brushless sand scorcher too I used a Mamba max 5700kv.I had to machine the case and use set screws for the motor case It was a tight fit but 11.1 volts its worth it,I used a small 3 cell so I could use the stock radio box.I will try to make a video (good job man they look great!)
Ohh what a good power on yours! be careful! transmission is very strong but not really enought for the power you say. Anyway post your video man! :D Bye
Hi, thanks! I fit an EZRUN (HOBBY WINGS) motor, is a 13T also the 12T works good. It's important to choose the right motor 'couse not all the motor match the right diamter to be fitted in the scorcher/rogu rider/super champ gear box! This motor fits perfect! Chcek on ebay for a combo kit, the motor is controlled by the EZRUN esc, a 60A model is enough. the give also a program card to reduce the start torsion, brake and other parameters. Feel free to ask me more and check all my other video! bye
Hi, it's better to use a 1:10 motor with ally chassis...it's necessay to reduce (about 1 mm) with hands and sand paper the diameter of the motor chassis. Brush....try....brush....try then the motor will fit perfect in the scorcher gear chassis. I did this on my rough rider too. It's amazing how the sound of running motor is good! perfect gear noise! running well. If you need I can tell you exactly what I fitted inside ok?
Hi, I add you like my friend in my list and sent you a video. There are information inside. Anyway...The entire system is BRUSHLESS SENSORLESS MADE BY EZ-RUN , MOTOR 13T, ESC 60A, In the scorcher is better the 65T gear set. Bye
Hi ! Hell no man! brushless don't have phisical attritions inside the motors even except the ball bearings around the shaft. Forget about hot and stuff like that, this problems are not presente in this new generation of systems. The torque?? :)) this systems have incredible torque and double time of playing if you compare with brushed motors. Do a search on gooogle to learn about the brushless world. Bye ;)
Hy. I am using Brushless Systems since.... 3 or 4 Years ;) just look at my Videos (Savage Flux). A Tamiya SRB Collector Friend of mine told me that the SRB Buggies need Motors with a Load of Torque, weaker Motors and ESC´s will overheat (brushed and brushless) and finally burn down. He showed me some Pictures where the ESC in a Rough Rider died from overheating, the Motor was also ruined.
