@Richnagga92 ive been wondering too. but upon self research and watching numerous vids where they mention fuzzy guard, i think its when an assist, that causes such a long block stun, i.e ammy's beams, forces you to block high or low and keeps you at that state. so blocking high on ammy's beam will leave you susceptible to a low mix up. i might be wrong, if i am, please correct me.

@SGvince22 u pretty much got it. If your blocking a string high, then go to block low, your hitbox is still considered standing. So you can be hit by moves that normally would whiff on crouching characters. In ssf4 when you wake up blocking you're put in a fuzzy guard situation. Have you ever noticed that sometimes when you wake up you can low block a high tiger shot? Normally the high tiger shot can be ducked under but when you wake up your hitbox is considered standing a few frames

I just finished watching a Japanese UMvC3 tournament and most of the high level plays is consisted of "Vergil". They would even tag him in to kill him off because xfactor 3 on Vergil looks just as scary as Wesker. I would say Japanese players treat Vergil as the Americans treat Wesker here. Japanese players also have VERY GOOD Strider and Morrigan.

He's up there with the best characters but not so good that all finalists in any UMVC3 tourney will have him on their team. Who has the best Virgil so far? @madskilliz Fuzzy guard is basically when you block a high attack and then switch to block a low attack the hit box for the high block does not go away until the block stun for the high block is over. During that period you can actually hit that hit box during this very short period of time.

Assists are use to convert this into a combo, or to keep them in block stun for that fuzzy guard.
