Really enjoyed this flick. Just good all out action like great action films should be. Bit Jack Bauer-24-esque with the family saving brutality but there's nothing wrong with that at all! Works a treat.
The only issue I had was with his actual daughter. She's such a precious, spoilt bitch. Pampered to the extreme, you really don't give a shit if she gets gunned down or not. You know. Some kids have to grow up in poverty - this spoilt brat needs a lesson in life. And she got one.

It was brilliant that the fight scenes were inspired by Borne and taken to the next level. Best fight scenes to date from an old Irish actor. How cool is that?
@HarrysReviews1:40 is waaaaaaaaay to long and you gave away too much of the plot. that part of the review should only take about 30 seconds and shouldnt give away the entire plot but instead the basic setup that leads to the events of the film ie: the Fabula and not the Syuzhet
Liam is my favorite actor. He taught Batman (Batman Begins) and Obi-wan (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace) and was a god twice. (Aslan in Chronacles on Narnia and Zeus in Clash of the Titans) He looks badass in this movie; to bad I can't see it. =(
when I first saw the trailer, I thought Liam's character was taking her, and I couldn't understand why he would do that. So when my mom said we have to see it because we were going to Paris that summer, I was scepticle, but oh my gosh, I saw this and i was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. GOOD LUCK. when he figured that out, i was really impressed!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!

he then instantly is able to know that that is the guy he is after...yeah...ok...right. not only that, but the action utilizes the now standard "shaky cam" way too much, almost to the point where i often had no idea what was going on because it was simply a big blur onscreen. also, the supporting cast was god awful, and unlike josh, i didnt give a flying fuck about this idiotic girl who gets taken. i have no reason at all to care about her considering she gets "taken" after merely being...

This movie had one of the best and coolest action scenes ever.
It also brought something new. e.g. when he beats of Peter in the car, he keeps hitting him in the gut, over and over again, and you can see that it almost crippled him when he runs away.
And the last scene when the evil dude holds his daughter. The second the bad guy speaks, or is about to speak, Neeson shoots, knowing that the bad guy can't concentrate on holding the gun, whilst trying to talk Neeson out of kicking his ass.

Reconstructing a crime scene isn't a skill of Superman, but Batman. If your profession is investigative work, then obviously, you're good at it. Having that recording was very helpful though. The only thing I found over the edge was his friend looking up all the info for him from the recording. As for the action, I'm sorry if you don't like real life fighting. Most fights are over in seconds, and he uses Krav Maga, the Israeli miltiary martial art. Prolonged fighting is overrated and very rare.
The action wasn't bad over all, only a few "hollywood" moments like when the pipe he was cuffed to came uncinched at just the right moment and hits the guy on the head. Overall a great watch though.
no..actually some software can recognize voice for lokcs and other stuff..so im pretty sure they have voice recognition software that can compare from some sort of database..software..and there are VERY unique accents out there maybe that was one of them..

i said neeson has a voice better than morgan freedman when i left the theatre! at the beginning it was kinda like qui-gon-gin talking about birthday presents though.
