I still remember when Funny Cide won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness in 2003. This horse ran with a ton of heart!! Because during his 3yr.old season, Funny Cide had deal with the beast that was Empire Maker. Empire Maker had beaten Funny Cide in the Wood Memorial that year. But Funny Cide came back and turned the tables on him in the Kentucky Derby. Funny Cide went on to beat Midway Road in the Preakness. Then had his old nemesis, Empire Maker, deny him the Triple Crown in the Belmont Stakes.

A great racehorse! I love how he stll gets rode to this day by the trainer watchin other young racehorses! I bet hes like a coach to them other horses! since he is an old pro ya know :)

Yeah, really! :( It was a medical problem according to the book, but good gracious, if he wasn't gelded, he would of brought alot of talented racers into the world! No matter what, fantastic horse :)

Funny Is still a Fantastic horse and he is still a champion I love Funny. He is one of my favorite racehorses of all time.

This is my all-time favorite youtube video! I can watch this over and over and never get sick of it! I love funny cide and got to meet him in Saratoga. His derby was the first derby I remember watching. Barclay Tagg is the best trainer. I can't wait to watch him win another derby.

Funny Cide was such a boon to us in upstate NY. Congrats to Tagg, Robin et all for handling him so well, given more than usual health probelems. Hope to see him in person one day!!

all hands up! to all involved w/ this wonderful gelding w/ heart, i am 100% pleased to see they have given him and ungoing cared for life w/ a purpose as well! i love the video and the sense of humor in te comments by the trainer! so many more of the horse that are washed up from racing need great peple like this ( i have 2 OFT ) tb's i saved from the local meat sale(SAD) and they are wonderful, matter fact 1 afteR having him I fOUND OUT SEATEAL SLEW! is his grandsire! they will remain w/ me.
