I started with sticks. I have a pair of stix and poi on me all the time. I love them both. Glowsticks are tight for busting out at night. Poi is for practice really.

how did you make your glowsticks

.. you need:

two glowsticks that havent been broken

electric tape

2 ibolts found at home depot

a sharp knife or razor

2 or 4 led lights that can be turned on by pressure no switches

A sink

Then you:

Over a sink cut in brand new, not broken, glowstick with a sharp knife or razor cutting one vertical rectangle wide enough for one LED light.. you have to be care to not break the glass tube in the middle of the stick.. you'll remove it later.

So.. when cutting this rectangle you have to be extremely careful Ive cut my fingers pretty bad doing this. Just press firm working slowly.. then you turn the glowstick to the opposite side.. and cut another vertical rectangle.. once youve cut cut those rectangles you carefully remove the glass tube (you'll need someone else to put it out while you hold the plastic back.. )

Once youve taken it out you shake, wash and dry the glowstick making sure no moisture is inside.. then you insert 1 led light into the glowstick... tape around the led to keep it in place and you have a led glowstick.

the ibolts arent neccessary but i love them... I screw them into the bottom and put my showlaces through them.. because the little plastic thing at the top breaks quickly..

So if you are making them without ibolts you'll want to cut those rectangles at the bottom of the glowstick.. if you are making them with ibolts.. you've want to cut off that plastic piece and cut the rectangles at the top of the glowsticks..
