One can learn an instrument without lessons. I could play several classical pieces on a piano and many rock songs on keyboard before I ever took one lesson. Then, I signed up for classes and lasted 3 days, I felt they were a waste of time and money.

Ergo, yes, you can teach yourself to play any instrument.
