People when comparing these to never mention the Lion 3 biggest advantages.. The three biggest advantages are: The Lion is Taller, has a Mane, and is more aggressive.. Also, in the wild if they were to meet the first impression the tiger is going to have is that the Lion is bigger because of the height.. dave salmoni said lions woud win and works with these animals all the time.. tigers may have a stronger bite and they may be heavier but lions have manes and when tigers try to bite their necks they get confused and miss all the time and the lion is also longer and taller so when a tiger is on top of a lion the lion just pushes the tiger away and scince tigers dont have manes to protect them lions get the finishing blow on their neck or spine

Tigers don`t have a stronger bite , after hyenas, lions have the strongest bite of all land mammals. And tigers arent heavier , most scientific studies indicate that they weigh the same on average. And I agree with you about the mane !

lol i also found out in wikipedia that average Siberian tigers weigh 500 lbs and average African lions weigh 550lbs and the Bengal tigers weigh 520 it doesnt make much sense does it? Siberians are supposed to be the biggest but the Bengal tiger weighs more lmao

@xjosh360 ...The manes are ovrestated. The other factors like strength (lions ARE stronger), toughness, and bone strucure play more heavily into. The bigger factor though is the ferocity.
