If you dislike this...I suggest you use the remote (for the T.V) or the mouse on your comp to switch to something that's more you're taste. The thing I really love about this commercial, and indeed this KIND of commercial is the yuppies like you that it attracts. You're treating humor as if it's objective and universal, and set to some cosmic standard. That alone is hilarious. Whats more, you assume to know my comedic tastes, and the type of comedy I respond to. I laugh at everything from this commercial to Carlin to jokes by Bill Bryson and physicist Kip Thorne, so what KIND of person do you exactly think I am?

I agree with you that humor is subjective, but only to a certain extent. There certainly seems to be a natural evolution of sense of humor with age. When I was 5-6, I found all manner of 'potty humor' humorous, but as I grew older and matured, the things I once found funny at 5 began to bore me. Of course some people do retain their childish senses, while others still adopt a more eclectic taste in humor. Maybe this is you though I won't make presumptions like you have by calling me a "yuppie".

It's easy to say that humor is totally subjective because it varies between individuals (and more widely across different cultures), but that would ignore the underlying natural trends in its evolution with age (and other variables).
