I have been asking myself, why would I need such a device when it lacks voice calling. The fact that most business in the wireless world is conducted by voice chat, it becomes obvious that one who has this device will also be carrying around a cellphone as well. So you have to ask, would I pay 20.00 more a month when I can simply pay 5.00 more (verizon) on my phone plan to have unlimited email. This company has to lower its monthly bill and possibly team up with Skype if it wants to succeed.
i still think $20 a month is a little TOOOOO much for JUST email. I have a blackberry with tmobile and for $20 (when i got it, now $25) i get up to 10 email accounts, all the IM clients I can think of, and 2G UNLIMITED DATA. Only reason anyone would buy a peek would be if they were intimidated by gadgets, u know, so they can have this minimalistic device. But I think having it all in one device (smartphone) is the way to go. Sorry peek. I just dont see it happening.
I'm a gadget person so I'm already carrying a smartphone that has email, yet I find myself completely enamored with the Peek anyway. There's something about it that I just can't ignore.
I can't justify the cost for myself, but I have a brother who drives a truck for a living and he is going to love this thing. I'm going to head out to Target in a couple weeks and pick one up for a christmas present.
Does it come with a free trial period by any chance?
100$!!! lol its 15$ dollars at my nearest target.

In my opinion, this device is a rip off. The company has shady refund practices (NEVER refunds the first month. You PAY TO JUST TRY).
1. Device freezes after stopping receiving signals.
2. Many blackouts. I had the peek for one week and there were 2.
3. New email led never turns off.
4. Setting kept resetting. Clock impossible to set, for example.
5. Push email is VERY slow (5 minues to get an email).
6.pdf support not existent. pdf is actually converted (garbled) to text.

It uses T-mobile's network so look at their coverage maps if you want to know where you can use it.

chfgn, yeah, from the moment you power it on, you have a few days to try it out before it requires you to enter credit card info. Really handy.
