Is there a way to remove floor tile without breaking the existing pieces? I need to move some things around and need a few from under the stove to cover a bare spot caused by removing a cabinet on the floor. I can't find the replacement tiles as they are over 10 years old.
How did you remove all that thinset under there after the tiles were up?
This is where I am stuck on my remodel. I haven't found much of anything that will get rid of it - except for the time I rented a floor sanding edger. That made a horrible dusty mess though and only got half the kitchen done in a whole weekend - then I had to return it.
I stil have a half kitchen and two bathrooms to finish!
What bit is that on your chipping hammer. Is that the clay spade. Please let me know I am starting soon and that looks better than the 3 inch bit I have.
My back hurts watching this.

Trust me it would be, because the tiles will break in small pieces with a narrow chisel .

That tool is so cool, I'm going to install a tile floor in my house just so I can use that tool to immediately tear it up.

Thanks for this vid bro. I have to go through three layers of tile. Two of which have backer board of the cement and fiberglass mesh kind.
That Bosch Hammer GSH 16-28 looks effective!!!!!

what if its over the wood sub floor and no cement backerboard was used. is it done the same way with the same tool?

if you plan on polishing floorboards, no.
I've endured 4 days of hard labor removing my tiles only to find that removing the cement sheeting is a bigger job itself!
