This was the first U2 video shown on MTV. I remember, I was there. I specifically remember Bono clapping to the snare hits while dancing. Gloria came out very soon after and this video then completely disappeared. It's cool to see it again after all these years. This was the video that got me into this band even though all my friends thought they were weird. I knew they were special.

i have just found heaven , my kids will never get their hands on the computer again, all these great early U2 videos. How we lived for the moment when they would break into the mainstream and get the recognition we new they deserved. This moment was huge for them and all of us following them. U2 and Radiohead are 2 great bands why compare them, i think u2 are more consistant though, btw rodroNC20 the guitar the edge is using is his gibson explorer it is the first guitar he bought in 1976 he also says to this day it is the best guitar he has played, it appears on every u2 album and gig.
