Is there even an option like that on MacOS to just abort a program in a second and basically tell it to STFU?... I've always dreamt of such an option on Windows - to just be able to press a key and have any buggy/crashy soft go to hell in a second...

I don't know about MacOS, but in Windows you can press CTRL+ALT+DEL and then select the program that is doing badly from the list and then press "end process."

Yeah, the internet and computers exploded on the market in 1995. By 1998 it was commonplace for people to own a computer

Perhaps they were referring mostly to the USA? I think USA was ahead of the rest of the world (perhaps except Japan?) in terms of amount of aspects of life supported by informatic systems... like credit/debit cards seemed popular around '95 in the USA while they were still pretty obscure elsewhere, or phone-line bank services... IDK, just kinda judging by what I saw in the movie...

I used to watch it mesmerised becouse they showed Macs heavily... and she had two computers at home which was like a top dream to me, and she had internet and all that... overall I stared at it a drooled watching it all over again :P
