  • This is obviousley considered an external MIDI plugin so would it work on Ableton live 7.0.4? Sorry I don't have 8, my mac runs a 1.33 GHz G4 processor-another reason why I'd like this controller (theyre compatible)

  • @Scr33chMusic At the moment it is only tested with virtual DJ and traktor, but if Ableton allows MIDI control and you can work out how to map it, this device should work just fine.

Although I cant say for 100% sure as I don't not use that software.

  • @techcastncr Okay, thanks! Appreciate your response mate keep uploading :)

  • Does it work with Logic Pro 9.1.6?

  • @JJE514 If Logic Pro can be Midi mapped I guess you could give it a try, but as its a DJ control I doubt there will be a premade Midi profile for it.

You would have to work out how to midi map it to your software as I don't use Logic Pro.

  • do I need to buy soundcard like NI Audio 2DJ or this controler has his own soundcard?

  • @Exta988 As mentioned in the video and a few times in the comments, there is no built in sound card, this device is just a Midi control.

You will need to either use your built in sound card via your laptop/ computers audio out, or use any external sound card you like, I have a beringer UCA222 and that works great and its only around £30.

  • Does it work with the free version of Virtual DJ?

  • @mistermbsk No the device only works with Virtual Dj Pro, It comes with a basic old version but I suggest upgrading to a higher version.

  • @techcastncr and do you know how much it costs? If you have a website where i could buy it from it would be great, thank you for your help.

  • @mistermbsk you can get it from the official website for $299 or $49 if you are upgrading from a previous version, but if you search around you might be able to find it cheaper some where else, try looking on you tube for virtual dj pro 7 free.

Although I cant promote that last idea for certain obvious reasons and it also means you no longer have support from virtual dj them selves.

  • how much this??

  • @Ilovecarsandmotors ATM this device still costs around £60 - £80 , its been out for few years but has still been popular enough to hold its price. :)

  • @techcastncr i dont no nothing about djing but want to get into it is this a good piece to start with wen i learn

  • @prolific187 Yes this is a very good learning aid, I highly recommend it for beginners.

  • so it only works on virtual dj?

  • @stiffler4186 No as i said in the video, it is possible to map it to other software I just havent tried yet.

  • @stiffler4186 You can use it on tracker

  • I have a question. Your VDJ looks way more modern and mine looks really old so Idk if that's just a skin or what because I'm using the one it came with.

  • @ToXiiCxPoiSoN Its just standard Virtual DJ Pro 7.

  • @techcastncr After I asked I remembered that was the pro edition. I had it on my old laptop before it broke and now that I got a new one I don't have it anymore :(, so I'm stuck with the DJC edition which works fine anyways so it's all good.

  • I got this to start out with because I've started producing dubstep and I love it.

  • @ToXiiCxPoiSoN Yeh its very cool :)

  • HELP!! I DOWNLOADED FREE VIRUAL DJ, THEN PLUGED IN THE SET BUT IT DOESNT CONTROL THE SCREEEN? What do i do? i have it in the right USB port.

  • @ViperOrtonRKO did the controler had like a CD or something? The Hercules E2 (if you have it) comes with a CD, in where it includes the drivers for the computer in order to detect the controler. Oh and be careful, because the VDJ Free version will only supports the controllers for 10 minutes, then it will ask you to buy the Pro.

  • @GamesWorldTV Well I got a CD Case but there was no CD with it.. i took it back to the shop and they said i didn't need a CD and that there was a serial code on the back with the DJ MP3 Website. Downloaded the free one because if i went to download pro version it would just say give credit card details when i only want to enter a serical code that i have to get the full thing. When i Plugg it into y laptop it never does detect it.. don't know why:/ thanks for the reply!

  • @ViperOrtonRKO It only works with Virtual DJ Pro 6, 7 and future versions, if you try and use the free version it will either not work or give you only a few minuets to test.

  • @GamesWorldTV All the drivers and up to date versions of the software can be downloaded from the Hercules website, as for virtual dj it will only work with the version it comes with and Virtual DJ Pro 6, 7 and future versions.

  • @ViperOrtonRKO It only works with Virtual Dj Pro 6 and 7, not the free versions.

  • @ViperOrtonRKO @techcastncr said that you can download all the drivers and updates at the Hercules webpage, so yeah hahah thanks techcast!

  • @GamesWorldTV No need to get funny, you asked for help I gave it as well.

  • @techcastncr WHOA WHOA.... wait I wasn't laughing at you, I might just made a mistake. I helped him, so you did, but you replied to MY comment, so he wouldn't get the notification because you replied to my comment, no his comment. In the case, I quoted you so viper could get the info, giving you credit.

I always put "haha" in my comments, not because of trolling, because is my style.

    So yeah.

  • @GamesWorldTV Ok I am very sorry, just sounded like you was being funny.

Very sorry and thank you for helping :D

  • @techcastncr no problem man. You're welcome.

  • OMG you is horrible

  • you sound like you are from newport? am i right?

  • sync button?

  • @lawnboyinthehood1980 Yep, it has a sync button :). And if your using a computer which has a 4.1 stereo surround audio card or higher, it is possible to prelisten to your tracks. Just plug your speakers in, in the front output and plug in your headphones in the rear output. Adjust the settings in your virtual DJ and there you go, pre-listening your tracks with the hercules mp3 e2 dj controller :).

  • @Maurintius Well i have a hp pavillion dv4 im not sure if it has 4.0 or not. Any idea how i can check? thx , I had a hercules rmx in the past and i didnt need anything i just pluged my phones into the deck. thx man

  • @lawnboyinthehood1980 yeah the Hercules RMX has a sound card of its own,so you can prelisten to your tracks by plugging your headphones in it's audio out. Just check if your soundcard has more than 4 in/out puts, if it has 4 or more you have a stereo surround card, and you can pre-listen. To see a picture of what I mean, open up your virtualdj or whatever software your using and check out its sound configurations, in virtualdj there's a picture 4.1 surround at soundcard...

  • @Maurintius Cheers for your reply's guys, yes it has sync.

Think you have the rest covered dude lol.

I use the my external sound card for my main audio out and my laptops audio out for headphones, works great and can be set up in the virtual dj settings.

  • It's best for begginer's. And its a really good price.

  • would you recommend it for your first mixer, cause im starting off as a dj, so should i buy this one ? thanks

  • @chriscox75 It is a great mixer for first time Djs

  • @chriscox75 I bought the MP3 e2 a few weeks ago and I definitely recommend this one. I bought mine a few weeks ago and it's a great tool. Very easy to use and you get quite a lot for the small amount of money you have to pay to own the MP3 e2. It's short of a few buttons but it's a pretty amazing DJ Controller.

  • does it come with virtual dj? if not how much does it cost?

  • @DoPeNB Yes, it comes with Virtual DJ - DJC Edition. It's pretty basic but it does do the job.If you want to but the VirtualDJ Pro edition I think you would have to spend around 200€, maybe less.

  • Hey, id like to know how big it is. thx

  • @jer8b The measurements are displayed on the products website, just type Hercules DJ mp3 E2 into Google and its the very first link you see.

  • does it work with fl studio?

  • @DylanWeigandGruesome I am really not sure as it is mainly made for DJ work not studio work.

Although as it is a midi device, if you can work out how it may be possible to map it as a midi control to what ever software you want, but that might take allot of work as it seems no one on the internet has thought it would be a good idea yet.

  • does this work with virtual dj

  • @turfdoctor11 As demonstrated in the video all the way thought yes it dose work with virtual DJ.

  • Hey man, sick shit you have. Anyways, I found this on Ebay for 108 dollars, is that a good deal? And also, how is the scratching? are the platters good enough?

and lastly, how is the mixer on it? does everything work like it should?

  • @lildougg123 you can kinda scratch but its more suited to genral djing, I use it for small gigs.

  • hey im wondering would it be possible for you to give me your serial code for virtual dj .. i lost mine..would really help if you could let me know email me ..crazyciar@hotmail.com thanks alot x

  • @stonerstaunton I cant give any one my serial sorry as Its a paid for version and the serial is only for my use only.

  • hi will this work with Traktor pro?

  • @metroid557 Apparently there is a control map you can download from the Hercules website, but as I am a serato guy I haven't worked out if it works yet sorry.

  • @techcastncr k thanks anyway.

  • hey I have a question what is the first song what you've played in your video

  • @0603fabi Its the Dubstep remix of cold as ice I found on the internet ages ago , still got it in my playlist as it seems to be pretty popular here lol

  • lol used that on a gig , it was awful small , but decent though

  • @djfailify Yeh I use it at small event stuff, not really made for big stuff but works amazing.

  • 0:27 haha

  • how big is that in cm ?

  • estas bien feo wei jajajajaja xD

  • that's wat she said at 3:00 XD

  • @suzuke352 lmao cheers

  • @techcastncr thank you i'm stocked full of em

  • This is a good review of this mixer i just got one today as it is my birthday and this video will help me figure out how to work this and im happy i got this one since i have never dj'd in my life i had just wanted to say if you can explain a few more things about the mixer would be helpful and how to mix the bass and treble and how to use these at parties and things as i have a few coming soon thanks :)

  • @jordan952010 I am very busy atm, but at some point I may be able to make a basic how to video for this device.

  • @mrcctq I dont know why that is, some no one takes votes on here serious no more.

  • so if i conncet this to my pc, can i use it to virtual dj?

  • @thetraaach As shown in the video yes it will control virtual dj.

  • hey,i want to buy this but can i connect it direct to my notebook ? or do i aslo need external sound card ?

  • @Saqutd As mentioned in the video, it connects via usb, it is only a control and dose not have any sound inputs or outputs.

  • i can use this item only like a dj mixer with my 2 technics?? thanks.

  • @miguelitopegueros No sorry, as mentioned in the video, it only has a USB connection, so it is only for control of DJ software only.

  • What sould i buy, Hercules DJ Control MP3 E2 or DISCOVER DJ from Ion audio?

    Thnx.

  • @psycotransletic lol If you need to ask that question I would say neither, but if you want to start with something decent, so Id say the MP3 E2.

  • HI FRIEND WAS YOUR VIDEO SALE AND WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU CAN PASS ME vitual DJ / Hercules P EQUAL PARENT, I WANT A CD BECAUSE YOU HAVE siter FREEZES EVERY 10 MINUTES

  • @djjccarvalho Not really sure what your asking for as your message doesn't make sense sorry.

  • Unfortunately no headphone port or audio outputs, this is just a control only, you will require a sound card to output and cue tracks in headphones.

  • headphone stot

  • you fucking suck dood we want to see how to use the controller we dont want to see your face

  • i wana sea some one juggle this set

  • @gokuhiphop113 I could try but aint easy with this lol, mainly for cueing up tracks.

  • @techcastncr i want a longer review

  • @MALCOification Will see what I can do lol.

  • Remember that it is not a mixer. The music doesn't actually go through it. It is just a controller for the Virtual DJ computer software (included). Think of it like a very fancy "mouse"or joystick or remote control.I was using a version of Virtual DJ previously but the software was difficult to use with a mouse. This controller works well.

  • @Rickholly74 Yes I understand this, I am a Dj aswell lol.

  • pro djs wont touch it because it doesnt have a output ... and that is messing with me ... i want it so much because its so cheap, YET NO OUTPUT ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ... nice review any way

  • @almor619 thank you, I just use it on my dubstep/ drum and bass radio show when I want to be lazy lol

  • The output comes from the computer not the controller. The Hercules is meant as a software controller not a mixing board. You get your sounds from your computers sound card not Hercules.

  • @Rickholly74 yes of course but what im saying is if you want to set it up with a set of monitors you cant ... you need a seperate sound card ... monitors like for a gig or somthing and thats usefull

  • NOOOOB!

  • @lordmarc2007 cheers lol

  • Can you make dubstep with this?

  • @koolfenderkid24 you dont make music, you mix tracks

  • @koolfenderkid24 scoty123123 is right it only mixes, although on another note it is midi based so you could map it to production software that takes midi devices if you need to.

  • does it come with headphones

  • like it

  • does the usb cable come with the mp3 e2?

  • @bikerdudefiftynine yeh comes with a pretty long usb cable.

  • @bikerdudefiftynine does it matter? Their like 99 cents. Lol

  • @koolfenderkid24 Good point lol

  • justin bieber fast and old!

  • @TATTOOCAR Cheers, got any videos that wasn't created in the 90s lol

  • you welsh? ;)

  • @klocProductions I am yes :)

  • @techcastncr thought so ;) ahaha, fancy inboxing me and helping me out? it would be a heavied debate, way to heavy for comments.

  • Can you preview one track while the other is playing?

  • @Maldini2706 Not direct from this unit no but I think you can set it up in virtual DJ if you have the outputs.

  • @techcastncr thanks, so if you pick up a cheap external sound card you should be able to do it then

  • ok is this the first step into becoming a PC DJ?? I dont have a Laptop or the money to by two CDJ turntables and a mixer. So this is like 2 turntables and a mixer combined but you just plug it into your computer and mix files???

  • @99darkhawk Yeh basically this is a good training aid or just working small gigs, for this type of device you will defiantly need a laptop, but you can get larger club DJ versions as well.

This version runs on virtual DJ and traktor if you map the midi controls correctly.

  • @techcastncr thanks

  • Thanks For This Review!

  • @BanginDubstep thats ok dude, check out my others if u want and post to others.

  • Kurt Nilsen?! XD

  • @ToRReSMedia cheers lol

  • Does it work on macs?

  • @thevideokitchen Mac OS® 10.4 / 10.5 / 10.6 yes, you can find more info on their website.

    Hope that helps :)

  • Cheers mate...I've got a google email alert to inform me if anything pops up too

  • @casmoviesandmusic ok cool dude

  • I could do with being shown tips on how to map it to Ableton (I've got Live 7)...I've worked out a few things (some just in my head that I haven't tried yet), but can't find a detailed guide yet. The problem with the virtual program is that u're not always gonna have an internet connection wherever u play, so I haven't bothered downloading that. Right at this moment tho, I haven't yet got a multi-output soundcard, so can't monitor it...didn't know there wasn't outputs on controller :-/

  • @casmoviesandmusic @casmoviesandmusic I work with serato stuff normaly but, I will get on trying to find out for you as soon as I can dude.

    Working on traktor atm.

  • if u want a better version of virtual dj how do u do that?

  • @TDWPfanZA It will work with any version of virtual dj , you can download virtual dj pro 7 from their website, but it dose need to be the pro version.

  • Finally, an English review!

  • @kingleeder2k8 yeh I know, really great device though, great if your a beginner DJ.

keep tuned Im planning allot more reviews.

  • @kingleeder2k8 yes! Someone who feels my pain!!!

  • @Ryan57596 It aint that bad lol
