  • what kind of suspension lift are you running? I just bought a M1008 with dana 60s and can't find anybody who lists a 1 ton truck lift kit.

  • @fj60driver they have a 14 bolt in the rear

  • What are the tires on that truck please? I cant find anything like that local.

  • @dieselwarriordotcom super swamper TSL

  • the 6.2 has no bulls

  • @wfortier502 the term is NO BALLS you tard. And Lets see, while they are not near as powerful as new or turbo 6.5s they are still pretty good. I had my 92 Silverado K1500 6.2 Diesel hooked to a 89 Ram 4x4 and a 96 Blazer 4x4 and she never even struggled. I left her in OD and 4hi and she pulled them right out of the mud.

  • @GMCMan29

I saw a right hand drive version of these with duel rear wheels here in UK but was worried that they may only do 18mpg (thats what a friend gets in a converted range rover, but hes a twat), it was a 1990 6.2diesel, I was also concerned about spare part availability over here as we pay extra tax if we buy american stuff!!

  • @GMCMan29 even i know thats bullshit.

  • @robby844 think what you want, Robby boy, I know what she did and that my friend is all that matters

  • @GMCMan29 hahahaha i know its a lie cuz i know several people that have tried and have lied about and couldnt prove shit.but im not saying that they didnt have over 600k cuz i know they will go over that.my buddys got one with over 800k and all he did was replace the injectors

  • @robby844 well, what are you saying then? Seriously.

  • @robby844 well as I said, I know what she did. Keep in mind both had drivers in them trying to get out while i was pulling them

  • @GMCMan29 no vid =bullshit

  • @robby844 sorry I dont carry a video camera with me everywhere I go so I can prove shit to some dweeb on youtube.

  • @GMCMan29 hahah dweeb really? wow i know for a fact your full of shit.if my old truck wouldnt do it then how did yours do it?

  • @robby844 well lets see, both drivers were also powering at the time, I was the only one not in the mud, sooo, lets do the math since your simple brain cant do it, thats 12 wheels doing the work, My truck was doing the most work, but it was being helped. And maybe yours was a POS, my was mildly modified, a 3 inch glasspacked single exhaust, slight turn on the fuel screw, and a K&N drop in filter and intake silencer delete. Again your just a dweeb thinking you know it all

  • @GMCMan29 well lets see asshole mine went to gale banks and had a turbo kit on it intercooler, nitro injet, and a couple turns on the screw, and a 4k spring kit.oh did i forget to mention it was back by and allison 1000 overdrive trans? oh wait there was also a browney box with a 1:2 over and a 6:1 under.over all i had over 35k in the truck.so i think i have you beat.oh wait i forgot about the 20k pound braden i had in the bed and the front bumper.

  • @robby844 sure buddy. And my dad is the President lol. If your truck couldnt pull with that done to it then either you cant drive or your truck was a hunk of shit, your you are full of shit, either way I know what MY truck did, so STFU

  • @robby844 oh and BTW everyone with a 6.2 knows you dont turn the fuel screw more then 1/8th of a turn, 2 turns would be a runaway truck, so you are full of shit. and whats nitro inject? You mean nitrous injection? You only got me beat by the amount of shit your spewing out of your mouth lol.

  • @GMCMan29 hahaa really? 1.5 turns? cuz thats what i did.see the thing is i told you i put a 4k spring kit and a couple turns.the 4k kit keeps it from running away asshole.but i like that you agree that you are full of shit.and the guys i was pulling out were down to the frames in thick ass mud and the engines were stalled.but in the end my truck got them out after we shoveled for a couple hours.

  • @robby844 read you dumbfuck I said 1/8th of a turn not 1.5 turns you shit. Also a 4k spring kit, lets the engine turn 4000rpms which doesnt change the fact it would runaway with your dumb ass bottoming out the fuel screw, And how did I agree Im full of shit? Oh wait I DIDNT, God I swear they should keep retards off the internet.

  • @GMCMan29 hahahhah you dipfuck you tell me to read and you cant even do it yourself.i said i turned the screw 1.5 turns you dipshit.damn and yes you admitted it here :"You only got me beat by the amount of shit your spewing out of your mouth lol." and yes asshole nitro inject you claim your a diesel fan but yet you know NOTHING.btw did i mention that i didnt have the stock pump on it as well.oh well you should have known that

  • @robby844 its nitrous injection, get your head out of the video games, Anyway, I know what my truck did, so Im done with your bullshit

  • @GMCMan29 hahah and i know what mine had.

  • @GMCMan29 you know that song "so much cooler online" sounds like it was written about Robby here..

  • @Catalina65389 agreed, hes a huge tool

  • man those sierra classic SUVS are crap!!!!!! i know these guys who had a strip mining business, they used a few of them and the diesel for those 6.2 engines were outrageous, they had regular gas engines put in them

  • @SnipinRedneck43 think again boy, I had one and I know 5 guys who still own them, two of them have 600,000 with no problems at all. While they are not near as powerful as the turbo diesels they still pull good, I haul out of the mud close to 10,000lbs and she never even flinched. One hell of a truck and still got me 25mpg on the highway at 70mph.

  • @GMCMan29

a lot fail due to duel mass crank pulley/ vibration damper failing so the crank snaps, also the main bearing area on the block cracks and fails, but it appears that its a gamble, some last forever and some just eat themselves; a place here sold them for landrover conversions and went bust due to warranty claims but they rebuilt all of them and I suspect they didnt do it right.

25miles to a US gallon is better than my mates 2.5 diesel mazda!(23mpg english gallon)!!!

  • @GMCMan29 woah dude i wasnt tryin to diss you or anything i love general motors trucks, especially the new GMC sierra half tons

  • @SnipinRedneck43 its all good ;)

  • i want to buy a 6.2 if anyone wants to sell one

  • Nice rig. The turbo 400 is an awesome transmission. I have one on my 454 SS ElCamino. I have never had a problem with it and believe me, there is a lot of power going through that tranny.

  • That sounds like an original indirect injection non-turbo--COOL! They got good mileage.

  • i was wondering what you were runnin for tires on your truck? also what do you have for a transmission? ive got a 6.2 also, and ive got a turbo 400 runnin 35s, i keep blowing the tranni

  • who is building your turbo 400's,seriously i'm not being an ass.they should laugh at a 6.2

  • yeah the 6.2 is lacking a bit on power to brake a turbo 400 that wired

  • 6.2's are gutless you shouldn't have much tranny problems

  • yea i had an 84 5.7 sierra classic with 35s on it and had the same problem with the turbo 400. i think its an all around shitty transmission.

  • The Turbo 400 is a very tough transmission. Nothing should be going wrong with it unless there is something assembled improperly or if something was put in there that's fucked up.

  • i'm runnin a 6.2 diesel in a 1991 k5 blazer done blown two clutch packs on a 700r4 now bulit a allison t100 to fit in thats been 350k miles ago

  • Of all the myriad problems I've had with every 6.2L ruck I've had, the 400 turbo giving out isn't one of them. The 6.2 in its stock form barely has enough power to pull itself, let alone break a th400. I had one with a banks turbo, and even that one was only at about half of what a stock th400 can handle.

  • I think you must mean the TH700.. 6.2 and TH700 was never a good combo.

I have a Suburban with a 6.2D and TH400 no problems at all here towing trailers and running 33s. No lift.

  • What year is this truck? 1983 or 1984?

  • not mine a friends so i would not know

  • Then ask the one friend of yours who owns this.

  • what exaust is that?!

  • The camera angle makes it look not very steep!

It must be very steep though judging by the slipping.

    Love american things like this.

    Wish I could have one!

  • 6.2 are cool.i wouldent mind having one either

  • Love the ole 6.2L it just did not catch on with consumers like it should have.

  • i wish i had a 6.2 in my old chevy...they get like 30 or more miles to the gallon...and they are kinda fun to drive.....

  • your dreaming man. They get a maximum of 23. Mine averaged about 18-20 mixed driving.

  • i got 18 with mine pulling a trailor doing 75+ mph with a 400 tranny and 4:10 gears

  • I'll vouch. 86 K5 Blazer 6.2L w/ Banks turbo kit (non-intercooled) pulling trailer w/ car and parts, 70 mph TH400 4:10's + posi = 18+ mpg highway. No trailer 26-28 mpg.

  • That sounds awesome. Maybe I'll have to search for one of these K5's. How much power are you makin'?

  • yeeup. I keep hearing great things and reports of great mileage in these. People say get one 1985 or newer for the better injection pumps. I will be happy without any turbo .. just the basics; stock normally aspirated .. until I learn of a very reliable combo for a turbo or other mods. I'm mostly interested in reliability and economy.
