the germans won the war on the battlefield due to this gun, and the magnificent wehrmacht, however the leaders were incompetent and childish, hence the inevitable and disastrous defeat, that could have easily been changed if Hitler had been killed and a more competent leader had changed the game plan.

@stylianos75 The fuck are you on about? The gun is made to fire tens of thousands of rounds in its lifetime, shooting 10 rounds in rapid succession is only the equivalent of firing 20 or 30 rounds at a normal pace.

Like most everyone else I'm trying to find the point in this video. He wasn't in a shooters stance and it's obvious he wasn't hitting anything. Perfect waste of a mauser on a human being.

Seeing this video on You tube was a particularly good timing for me: I just purchased a Mauser rifle just like this one! As we speak, it is still in my truck in the parking lot.

called 'supression fire' all the way out to say 500 meters? you will know your getting shot at.

i do have a vid of timed fire at 200, at a 15 x15 gong if your into targets. set the camera on top of the target. look.

Well, in WWI, the British soldiers were said to do something called a "mad minute" were they'd fire 35 shots in a minute with their lee enfield rifles, and be accurate and effective.

with the mauser it probably wasnt wise to fire of 5 rounds in such quick succesion , What really counts is how well aimed each individual shot is.......But fine example of rapid fire I tip my hat to you.

A bulge can form in the barrel if you fire it like that in rapid succession often. Also it makes the barrel hot as hell when you fire off rounds like that. Still cool that you can fire it that fast.
