  • yeah the USMC are a bit more slash and burn I think.Don't think they bother carrying flashbangs. They didnt do it on purpose.

  • Joining up soon - was looking into RMR while I'm still in 6th-form college but by the time I get the green lid, I would have finished college anyway and you can't transfer at all if you're GD any more, so am leaving it until about a year's time (waiting times and that mean the AFCO said to sign up for regs in 1 year, not 2). Used to be a cadet but decided to leave due the amount of dickishness and smart-arses like the guy below.

Royal Marines are the greatest, Per Mare Per Terram!

  • Top Guys !!!!!!!!

  • Why are that guys wearing shorts???

  • @EdinburghTiger

Because it's roasting hot over there? And normal trousers aren't bulletproof anyway so why not wear shorts?

  • 0:17, that badge is from the DA, right next to where we live. I wear it on my scout uniform...

  • Good luck to you mate! Hopefully I'll fight by your side :)

  • I'm joining when I'm 16 instead

  • @EllisFitz1995 Same!

  • When I'm 18 I'm joining the royal marines, can't fucking wait :)

  • Why does it say 40 RMC, when the Cpl speaking is from RMP, the Army?

  • @Huffandwhatever - using bootneck slang and trying to blag off that you were on this tour is absurd. I suggest you nut up, and crack on at Lympstone and then potentially pass out. Only then can you claim you are a royal, when really you're some basement kiddo trying to be the dogs bollocks. Drop it.

  • @MrHarvs90 yer whatever you say, MNE J Crookes featured in this video, look him up to utter cunt

  • fighting the taliban in his pants.

    True british style.

  • @dymondgeezer2003 lolololol so british soldiers fight in the talibans pants? LOL

  • most of the comments here are fighting but what is a reserve? i want to join the RMC as an officer or commando. and is there any difference between the two just ones an officer?

  • @Jammydodger58

Hey Mate! The reserves are soldiers that are Royals but also have civie jobs. So they are soldiering part time for the most of it. There training is longer since they dont train all the time.

I advice you to go to prmc.co.uk you'll find the anwser to any question you have there

  • @1315229 cheers mate

  • @Jammydodger58 Being a RMC Reserve is harder than FUll time - you have to do all your fitness yourself & it's a very very high standard, the full time guys have the advantages of PTIs gyms etc. right next to them whereas RMR don't.

  • @Redheadfury Oh My God!!!!!!!! You reckon that being a reserve is harder!!! It doesnt take much to go for a run or do some press ups etc! It does however take alot to be constantly away from family, live under the rule ov someone else and be sent anywhere at anytime! I Doubt very much that you have a green lid at all coming out with absolute bile like that!!!

  • @TheJohnmRM yer cos going for a run is all you have to do to pass the commando course and be trained up as a bootneck.......you complete mong

  • LOL at 1:08.

  • lol they are wearing nothing but shorts bullet proof vests and a helmet. top lads!

  • @vxphsycoxv most probably a result of short-notice engagement

  • I'm going to be a royal marines reserve.

  • @halofan981 pussy just be a royal marine.

  • @vxphsycoxv I'm only 13, gosh. I can't do it now.

  • @halofan981 well you cant be a royal marines reserve just now anyway. so when you turn 16 join the marines as a royal marine commando NOT a reserve, and I'll see you in Afghan.

  • @vxphsycoxv

you fucking dissrespectful ignorant fool, reserve lads are fully trained commandos that deploy on the front line with regular marines.

it just so happens that one of the guys in this video was killed trying to save a us marine that had just been blown up, his name is johnathan crookes and he was a royal marines RESERVIST so wind your neck in you cunt.

  • @huffanddovak watch your mouth pussy or your mum will spank you, I never disrespect our armed forces, So grow a pair of testicles and do a bit of research. cunt

  • @vxphsycoxv pussy...funny that considering i was on this tour (the one in the video), you stated further down dont be pussy by joining the reserves, dont join the reserves join the royal marines and i will see you in afghan.

well that is kind of the opposite of respecting the armed forces isnt it, and exactly what capacity will you be going to afghan in ?

  • @huffanddovak You were on this tour. haa haaaaa, whatever.... don't lie.

  • @vxphsycoxv yer fella, op herrick 12....not far from were this video was filmed...what are you....fuck all...a civvie with a big mouth end of fucking dit

  • @huffanddovak keep our stupid comments to ourselves shall we.... And if you are a royal marine shouldn't you be able to control yourself and not give a shit what other people think on youtube.

  • @vxphsycoxv maybe you should not make comments on things you have no idea about

  • @huffanddovak maybe so, I'm sorry if I offended you in anyway. I want to be a marine, just heard things like marines are the best, reserves are just backups not sure if that's true tho. I'm sorry.

  • @vxphsycoxv alot of freinds of mine are RMR....same commando tests, same role on ops as i said one of the lads in this video who has sadly passed away was RMR and the fact that you did not know that shows what standard they are at and what there role is

  • @vxphsycoxv look at 0.47 thats crookesy on his second tour as a reservist like myself both on herrick 12 last year, last time i saw him was at bastion ,we were on the same R'n'r together. Get your green lid then you can comment!

  • Makes me proud to be British. KEEP IT UP LADS!!!

  • @mrTWoWguy I fought along side the 40 RMC as a Corpsman with 3/7 during the turn over of Sangin. We fought together, ate together, traded gear (or swapped kit as you lads call it) and treated eachothers wounded TOGETHER. I can say that both forces may have different approaches and tactics but none of this garbage about who was better than who ever came up. Mutual Respect among warriors. If you havent fought the fight, then dont talk as if you know.

  • @docjimenez08 swapped kit LOL your a fucking good lad.

  • @docjimenez08 bullshit. The British are about accurate fire. ABSOLUTELY RESPECTABLE BRITISH. Us Americans just seam to shoot at everything, killing how many hundreds of thousands of innocent?? British are more internationally minded folks so there less likely to see non-British as human beings, moms and dads. Whos' better?? The ones who stay alive and simultaneously kill less innocent people and dont laugh every other second like its a video game.

  • @docjimenez08

in cadets we have the same saying when you reach 3* if 1s punished we're all puniished, we dont leave anyone behind, mtural respect for each other and we trad our kit with each other.

  • @yessthisisthebest You surely can't be comparing Army Cadets to the Armed Forces... I've noticed that with a lot of people who go cadets, they've got their head up their own arse, and some sort of superiority complex, thinking they're better than everyone else.

Army Cadets isn't worth barely shit, ask any real soldier, I know more about Weapons, Ammunition and Army Vehicles than more than half of the Army Cadet Force, and I've never been in the Cadets.

  • @BiATom411

the army cadets is part of the armed forces because were part of the TA and the TA is part of the real army. and you probably know more about Weapons, Ammunition and Army Vehicles more than cadets because your sad enough to look that stuff up. anyway cadets has military standards and its more for people who really want to join the army its not like. watch this vid i took n you'll see that were not just a bunch of worthless wan-to-be soilders.

  • @yessthisisthebest

No the army cadets is not part of the TA it is part of the cadet organisation which is totally separate from the armed forces. How could be an army cadet and not know this?

  • @TomXD10

well hears a bit of history for you taught by my CSM in cadets

In 1859 local Militia units (Predecessors of the Territorial Army), were organised into a nationwide Volunteer Reserve Force. The first unit of the A.C.F to be formed was the Robin Hood Rifles formed by Octavia Hill on Castle Green in Nottingham in 1859.

The Army Cadet Force (ACF) is a British youth organisation that offers progressive training in a multitude of the subjects from military training.

also cadets was formed as a defense when britain was under threat from French invasion. there werent many soilders as most of them were doing stuff in the british empire in over the world. the ACF has military standards and gives people who want to join the army a taste of what military life is like. we are taught what the real armys tactics such as pepper potting, how to shoot, map and compass drill, PT etc. the onley real difference is we dont go to war vand kill people.

  • @merks91

    No need for foul langauge.

  • Sexy Royal Marines , get me so hot!!!!!!!!!!

  • It takes 1000 Royal Marines to hold Sangin and when we withdrew it took 18,000 American Marines to hold it, enough said.

  • @mrTWoWguy you realize the 3/5 Marines who are in control of sangin are about 500 strong? about the same number of RMCs that were there before. dumbass, there are 18,000 marines in ALL of Helmand. plus the American strategy in Sangin is more aggressive than what the brits were doing. no offense to the RMC, rifles, and Paras, they're amazing troops, but don't underestimate the USMC.

  • @merks91 Who's underestimating who? we're on the same side?

  • @Wikkiter read the comment i replied to.

  • @merks91 you hear about the USM's who killed a British reporter? a brit reporter was taken hostage and when the mariens arrived they lobbed a granade into the room where she was, it killed her as well as her captures. also i think that the brits have a better way of dealing with firefights. no offenece

  • thedudefromoz "you stick to your music lad! you know fuck all about battle and you smell" and we are ROYAL and so is OZ under our flag you knob!!

  • its funny how poms call everything "ROYAL" lol what next? the Royal Garbage service hahahha

  • @TheDudeFrom0Z well it makes sense considering we live under a monarchy

  • @TheDudeFrom0Z Wanker

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDudeFrom0Z

Doesn't Oz have a couple of 'Royal' regiments and services?

The Army doesn't carry the 'Royal' title though. This stems from the Civil War where the Army was first formed under the Parliamentarians. It didn't have the Royal title because it was deemed to be under control of Parliament rather then the King

Of course there is still a few regiments that still carry the 'Royal' title- Royal Artillery, Royal Gurkha Rifles, Royal Irish, Royal Anglian etc

  • Blast 'em, boys! Give 'em hell. Make them feel Royal pain!

  • STEPHEN WALKER IS MY STEP DAD

  • dose he fall over at first

  • Max Respect to ALL NATO FORCES IN SANGIN & HELMAND & THE SURROUNDING AREAS!!!

  • Good effort 40cdo. From ex royal (B coy 91-93), chin up fellas for your losses, get some boots to doors and get some payback!!

  • Glad you are out there doing your job. Thanks from a taxpayer - sorry we aren't giving you more. Pax Britannica.

  • I appreciate and am proud of what you do day after day. Good luck & keep your heads down!

  • From a part time Army guy from the U.S. for what it is worth, stay safe, and clobber those who are stupid enough to fire upon you.

  • We spent around a week with these guys and they let me film whatever they were doing. What a great bunch of lads, good luck guys, have a safe tour, Tom.
