does anyone have the really cool bbc 2 logo of lights clicking on and off wiv note with each time it moved form one bit of the 2 to the other?

or the blue paint splashing down?one Halloween it was red paint 2 look like blood!

one other cool halloween one was the logo being stabbed amnd bleeding everywhere!

does anyone have any of these?they were really cool!

The BBC2 ident with lights clicking on and off forming a bit of the 2 is called "Neon" and it is widely available on Youtube. Sadly the 2 halloween ones are not available on the internet.

OMDG! I saw the BBC closedown in 1997 the day before they changed it. The announcer just said goodnight and no one knew that it was going to change. Then next morning, POOF! - the aerial ident comes on and a man says that it's brand new look has come out. It's amazing, isn't it? :)

How is this the "new look" ? i thought these idents had been around from 1991?

then in 2001 they changed to the yellow bbc 2idents.

Yes of course. The BBC Logo changed on everything BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Sport and any-other BBC Channels.

I sort of know what you mean lol but most BBC Idents in 1997 like the one featured in the video made the "2" alive, making it move around etc. I think it's better than the one they have now, BBC2 is getting a brand new make over sometime in 2007 so hopefully it will be better than the yellow background with the purple box.
