This is different from the Balanchine method, In the Balanchine method girls go on pointe at aroun 12 not 9 and their arms are held at shoulder level when we train at the bar. Also It does not demand as much strength as gracefulness.

They are still young and training, and already so good. Give them a break. I can't do that good.

those were saut de chats, not grand jetes, and those were sautes, not sissones; both of which were absolutely beautiful.

the matter of the saut de chat/grand jeté depends on the techniques. the names are different from technique to technique :)

I agree, Grand jetes are awful, The front leg is higher than the back leg and the back leg is bent not stretched properly. dissapointed.

You can buy them with ribbons attached to them, or buy normal flats and the ribbons separately and sew them together.

You don't need ribbons on your flat shoes, since the shoe itself doesn't need any support. It just adds aesthetics.

That's the dress code in russia. They still wear ribbons on their flats because it is tradition.
