@JarrettAwesome by unzip it means to bring the contents out of the zipped(compressed) folder. you can do this by right clicking on the zipped folder and pressing unzip. or you can download a program such as WinRar or 7Zip to do it for you. this works for windows, im not sure about Macs

It's Kearth, just FYI. And a Mun landing is very possible just very hard to touch down in vanilla right now, as there is no drag or chute to slow you, it all has to be done with careful retro firing.

With enough RCS boosters you can fly around even on the Ear.. uhm, Ker..bal.. sim.. whatever that planet is called. So if you managed to get a rokkit to the Mun you could probably land. Getting enough RCS fuel and regular fuel with you to actually get BACK might be a problem though :P

@trublud92 pretty sure they never will, I was screwing around when bored and actually got the craft to orbit the sun, had over 400 days and they were still alive.

So I decided to practice my orbiting, and I got to a regular orbit of 1,800,000 meters. Unfortunately, it was almost perfectly vertical (which I think I figured out now). Then I decided to try to reenter the atmosphere. I got the perogee to below 100,000, nothing happened, down to 70,000, nothing happened....until I accidentally hit the space bar...oh...there goes the propulsion systems....Looks like they're just going to starve out there....

@castingsinkers depends on your browser really. im using google chrome so i would click the little wrench in the upper right hand corner and then click on tools then i would click on clear browsing data. really just find your history and clear all. it has been a really long time since iv used another browser and i don't remember them all to well. sorry i cant be of more help. have a great day:)

Hey kurt, orbit left of the orange line, this is the opposite of the moons orbit so instead of getting trapped orbiting a few miles behind the moon you are on a collision course with it.

Kurt its a lot easier to get to the Mun than you think. The Mun has its own gravity also if you get close enough to it in your orbit the gravity of the Mun will altar its course to go around the Mun with a few miner adjustments you should be a ble to land on the Mun

to go to the moon, kurt, point yourself at the moon while the moon is rising at an altitude of 100,000 metres, until your orbit intersects the moons. Then, when you reach the moons orbit, the moon will be close enough to orbit. Also, you CAN land on the moon with stock parts. It's just both difficult and betting back is even harder.

To maximize fuel burning in space, only burn at Apoapsis and periapsis. To make your periapsis bigger, burn at the apoapsis in the direction you are going, and to make it smaller, burn in the opposite direction and vice versa.
