Croppers not playing a FENDER Tele he "is" palying his Signature Peavey which is the Cropper Classic "Telecaster". Take a good look at it, its a Telecaster and all SC has played for Years is...Telecasters. Regardless of who crafted them.
But the have a Mahogany body Blade pick-ups. More chunky less twang. Great Blues or Rock Telecaster.
JLW is for me,one of the BEST and masters of the blue, first time i heard this song was on bet on jazz, dammm blow me away and that was years back.He is soulful and he reminds me of robert cray.He is up there with the best and has such any amazing tone.SWEET! BLUES OF THE MONTH!
I just heard this guy at my neighborhood watering hole and everybody in the place liked it, especially me. I am more of a rocker than a blues man but this guy is way better than Clapton and is up there with Robert Cray.
Wow. I thought my life sucked.

BTW Steve Cropper in the video. Thats him on Tele with his hair tied back.

Cropper isn't playing a Tele, GARYT1956. He's playing his own signature Peavey. It's called "The Cropper Classic". Worth checking out.

Ten comments so far and nobody yet recognized Steve Cropper. Listen closely, he plays some tasty rythym licks in this.

Wow, there is some mighty-fine playing here. He sings good, too. 5 Stars, and more if possible.

Good beat and a catchy song. I just learned of this man through a homemade tape from 1991 blues radio station.

This one's got Winner all over it which is why it'll NEVER get a minute of commercial play time in Starsearch/Dancin' With The Braindead Nation.
