  • Very nice ,but an engine rebuild on that baby will cost nearly 200 bucks.

  • im typing this with one hand

  • The Need For Speed... PC!

  • Im sorry that sounds really weedy. Horrible. It's lost that Flat 12 boxer sound.

  • @murcielagoboy The 512TR's motor isn't a boxer though. It's technically a V12 with a 180 Degree bank angle.

  • @Sephirius Lol really? Explain how you get a V-shape out of 180 degrees. Think about what you're saying.

  • @dan8852

I say that because the firing order and crankshaft design is that of a V12, not of a horizontally opposed V12.

  • @Sephirius er, Horizontally opposed Boxer 12. My bad.

  • @Sephirius

Flat-12 engines are generally not true horizontally opposed engines (boxer), but rather 180° V-engines. A true boxer has one crank pin per piston, while in the 180° V-engine, two opposing pistons share the same crank pin.

  • @Sephirius Two opposing pistons sharing a crank pin?! Wow now this is just foolish.

  • @Sephirius Rergardless of the firing order or any details about the crank's design, the two cylinder banks are horizontally opposed, 180 degrees. It IS a "boxer" engine sir.

  • @dan8852

Uh, no, a boxer refers SPECIFICALLY to the crank pin locations in a motor. It is NOT horizontally opposed.

  • @Sephirius "The Testarossa sports a 4.9 litre (4,943 cubic centimetres / 302 cubic inches) Ferrari Colombo flat-12 engine"- from Wikipedia. Think you may have lost this battle due to common sense sephirius haha.

  • @cowuhsocky

But that's the thing, If I say flat 4 or flat six then everyone knows that it's a boxer motor, but a Flat 12 is a different monster. Yes it is 'flat' in the aesthetic sense, and can be called a flat 12 as such, the point was the fact that it is not a boxer motor. It's akin to the difference between a flat plane crank V8 and a crossplane crank one.

  • @Sephirius Just give it up big guy.

  • @cowuhsocky

I guess you missed the start of this, but the whole point is while it may be a flat-12, it is not a boxer motor.

  • @Sephirius True boxers have each crankpin controlling only one piston/cylinder while 180° engines, which superficially appear very similar, share crankpins. The boxer engine (the true horizontally opposed engine) has corresponding pistons reaching top dead centre (TDC) simultaneously.

  • @Sephirius The 180° V engine has corresponding pistons sharing a crankpin on the crankshaft and reaching TDC half a crankshaft revolution apart. They may use regular connecting rods side by side, or use a master/slave system, or a fork-and-blade system. Flat engines with more than eight cylinders are most commonly V engines.

-also from Wiki, seeing as you guys like it as a source so much.

  • @Sephirius However painful defeat may feel to you, at some point you have to realize pursuing false information and attempting to spread it senselessly to other youtube viewers is degrading only you.

  • @cowuhsocky

Haha now I know you're trolling. Well played and good day sir.

  • @Sephirius trolling, what does that even mean?

  • @Sephirius yes it is.

  • @murcielagoboy It sounds fantastic.

  • insane! 5*+fav!

  • That's what i said.

  • It's a FLAT 12, dumbass.

  • Outrun!!!

  • Old school Sega? Classic.

  • it sounded so raw when it started!

  • Read the 1st comment - "mid engined V12 wide body"

Are you not able to read there buddy?

A is for apple. B is for bananna. C is for cat etc etc
