Just got CLEAR a week ago. I signed up 4 the 6MPS plan but I only average 2MPS on 4 bars. I only get 5 bars once or twice a day. I had ATT cheap plan & that was slow in comparison. My only gripe w/CLEAR is that I am paying for 6MPS but I haven't reached that speed yet. I was told by a rep that they're still in a test phase or something so, not really sure when I'll be up 2 full speed. If I can get full speed then I will go around telling everyone 2 drop their current service and make the switch

I was talking to a person on there website and that person said i couldn't get it in my market because i don't have 4g, i don't get why they say its dual mode and that it also has 3g so whats the issue?

Clear = Clearwire. Look up all the complaints about this company before you sign that contract. Once you sign the contract, the only way to get out of it is to pay an early termination fee. Their service sucks ass.

That second modem that he shows us is described as a dual mode 3G EVDO/ 4G Wimax modem. It looks the same as the Sprint (Qualcom U300) Wimax dual modem, but i cant read the label. Can anyone verify that this is the same one used by folks with Sprint accounts? What is the model Number? Will it work with either system?

My first video ever to show on you tube it will be me destrying it inmany pieces. Since I got the service I had COX communications before, and it actually ran better did not have any problems not even a port issue. Thanks clear for screwing my life up. I don't have a contract because since day one they were terrible. Cancelled to have the best service in the world anything other than steal(clear) wire.

As a recent Clear customer in Portland, I can tell you that this is nothing but a glorified scam. The service was incredibly slow, unreliable, and the tech support completely unhelpful. For example, their excuses for why I was getting a crappy signal in inner SE Portland included: double-paned windows, rain storms, trees in the neighborhood, and nearby computer equipment. As much as you may think Comcast sucks, this is much, much, much worse!

I know several support techs who work for Clearwire or Clear, which is what they are calling themselves now. That service sucks. The techs laugh about how stupid people are who get the service. This service is a ripoff for sure.
