Hello there I'm having a problem with my Zune is 4gb zune and for some reason it stop syncing music i noticed today on my software that it doesn't have the word "device" anymore so maybe that's the reason why I can't sync music. Is there any thing i can do to fix the problem my brother has already updated the software and it did not fix the problem i really need so help on this!!!! I'll appreciated a lot!!

True, that's one way to work around the problem - but that would mean me clicking and adding 27 different folders on five different computers...and that would suck. And if I added another picture folder, it wouldn't be monitored until I told the Zune software to monitor it. That's just bad all around - Picasa, Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Media Center, and every other photo tool in the universe does this the right way - the Zune software just does it the wrong way.

I have a Zune 30GB and I was just wondering what EXACTLY is a podcast and how do I subscribe to one? (I know it says to add the URL bu where can I find the URL??) and can you add youtube videos onto my zune?

A podcast is an audio or video file that is automatically downloaded to your Zune. With your Zune connected, browse the podcast directory and subscribe to one that you like. It will be automatically downloaded to your Zune, and when there's an update to that podcast, you'll get the latest episode.

Sorry I'm slow, but where can I find the podcast directory and in order to find one you need a URL where are they?

The podcast directory is part of the Marketplace tab. If you're not seeing the Marketplace tab, it probably means you're not in the USA, right? You need to go into Control Panel > Regional Settings and change your location to United States. The Zune team does all these really irritating things to block non-US users from using the Zune fully.

If you go to settings and reset the specified picture folder, it'll fix the "one level down" problem

With the software can you edit the music like can you add album art to it if it dosent already have it?

Edit the music? Edit the music metadata you mean? Yes, you can do some of that by switching from browse mode to list mode in the music library view.

No, the Zune has no camera. You put pictures onto the Zune from your PC (or send over WiFi from another Zune) that you'd take with your digital camera. The Zune isn't a camera or a phone.

You mean for pictures? Or videos? The photos are JPEGs, and the videos are WMV if it needs to transcode it, or WMV/h.264/MPEG4 depending on the source format. It will only transcode and convert to WMV if it has to.

Digital cameras take photos in JPEG format. When you move them from your desktop to your Zune, it just makes them into smaller JPEG images (640 x 480).

Yes, your cell phone takes pictures in JPEG format, so they'll convert just fine onto your Zune. You'll have to get them onto your PC in some way though...

I find it more convenient and much more precise to go to the middle of a show or song when the timeline is bigger, like in WMP or the old Zune software. Mine also has album art in random places, but also messes up the album, like I will want to listen to RHCP, and I open up the folder with Ice Cube album art, and the album has both Ice Cube and RHCP songs. I will try to post a video response showing these issues.

Mine takes about 15 seconds to load up, but once it does, it works very fast, faster than in this video.I noticed flickering when I had the Zune in full screen. With all that being said, I don't like the new software. For one, I noticed a lack of mini mode, which was present in the Zune software before the update. I also don't like the new timeline, which I think is way too small, and one of the reasons I don't like iTunes.

It looks like the Zune software is running kind of slow. Hopefully, improvements will be made soon.
