Those therm-a-rest pillows, what exactly are they? Product name??? I see several different types out there. My last trip did not go so well as My stuff sack of clothes did not make a good pillow :( I loved this video BTW. Thank you!
@militaryman69 They are Therm-a-Rest Compressable pillows. Mine is a medium and Andrea's is a small. Honestly, I wish they were both small - plenty big enough for my head! Thanks for watching!
@ChannelTheron I know, right? As long as I can make room for it, its coming along. I might try that Trekker out this fall after it gets colder again...the one time I set it up (summer), the single wall made it sweltering inside. Even with a stiff breeze the air wasn't moving very much. That might make it great for wintertime though... What was your experience?
@HikesWithDogsNE I liked it so far, except the lack of space, exspecially last time it rained...would of been nice to have enought room to at least sit up comfortably in.
@ChannelTheron No doubt. That's another luxury I don't like to leave home without. I don't mind carrying the extra weight when it comes to my wilderness living arrangements. I suppose it mostly comes down to personal priorities...some dudes will sacrifice a lot of comfort to cut down on weight. I like bivouac backpacking - set up a comfy base camp and dayhike from there. That way I can bring a lot of stuff but don't have to carry it all the whole time. And I have all I need to stay comfy.
