  • my name is paul smith, im beast aren't I?

  • I love my Zara suit.

  • what also sucks are those people who wear suits that are too tight because they think it looks cool. only hipsters, emos, korean boy bands, douchebags or metrosexuals do it. have a fucking tailor help you out and have it fit like a real man.

  • I cant decide what looks better on a bigger guy thick or slim ties, any advice?

  • @DelSolApparel I'm big in stature and over the past three years or so, twenty somethings are wearing narrow ties to portray a young, hip look so to speak from Europe. Personally, I like a thicker tie and even these have narrowed slightly with the premium labels out of Italy. In 2007-8, they were just under four inches at the base. Now, 3-1/2-3/4th's. Narrow ties remind me of child clip-ons.

  • he's super drunk

  • Lets himself down by tieing his tie with a four in hand knot. They always look wonkey

  • @farqueue132 His tie width is coordinated to the width of his suit lapels. With a skinny tie, anything besides a four-in-hand looks ridiculous.

  • @Imdroppingdimes

I completely disagree even a wide knot such as a windsor looks fine with slim/ skinny ties. I wasnt commenting on the fact that he was wearing a skinny tie, more the fact that the knot he choose should be left to school boys IMO.

  • i'm 5 feet 7 inches i dont know if i look go in a formal suit :(

  • Girls like the skinny ties (;

  • i wish i had some money for a nice suit

  • he should have finished the vid with "Suit up". damn copyright

  • I am in the search of cool jackets. (cool = less warm.) Any concrete tips on manufacturers? :)

  • ONE OF THE BEST ADVICE I 'V HERD ! !

  • Doesnt matter how tall or small you are you need abit of bulk to wear a suit

  • your Socks should always match your Pants, one of the main reasons i recommend you to use this fashion tip it’s because in matching your socks to your pants it makes you appear TALLER.

  • lol "one of his best friends" im sure he meant his gay boyfriend

  • @shortcutcliffe or Barney

  • why do people people nowadays tend to use suits too small for them? i think gays are responsible for this.

  • hey what the hell this guy has the same last name as me but he seems like some kind of european?? idk

  • @andrademeza Pedre Andrade is Brazillian.

  • @macuser5555 oh yeh i saw that after i made post tanks though

  • Suit Up!

  • Fag.

  • "...and if you're feeling a bit risque"

  • @zzzontag yeah, i understand. And how you appear to others depends on where you are and who you're around.

  • i got a dark navy suit, just want to know what shirt and tie color shall i go for? any help me pls???

  • Suits styles, fabrics, tailoring look cheap and silly today. Like a 16 year old wearing a 13 year old's clothing. Pedro's suit looks like it could have come from a discount store for some kid forced to wear it at church in decades past. When will this hideous trendy crap go away and beautiful fabrics and patterns return?Every time I buy one of these ugly things I feel like a pedo rapists altar boy fantasy from the 1950s

  • I'm sick of seeing people wearing baggy ass "car salesman" suits. This guy knows his stuff

  • Comment removed

  • @Sterlin195 This guy tells you what's trendy, fashionable today. HOWEVER, at a business meeting tastes can be a bit more classical, so you might look more like you mean business in a baggy "car salesman" suit, than in one of these short, tight trendy metrosexual "valet boy" suits. YMMV.

  • gay suitman, so gay...

  • "I'm Barney Stinson and see you next time!"

  • Hey does anyone know how much(roughly) it would cost to shorten the sleeves and the waist of a suit from a Tailor??

  • @MTERM775 some dry-cleaners will do it for under $20. However some dry-cleaners may half-ass the job.

  • @MTERM775 Don't take it to anyone but a tailor. But make sure it fits first. Some tailors just want your money and will hack your suit up and then charge you no matter what the result looks like. Most places charge between $17-20 for sleeves( not including if buttons need to be moved. If you are talking the waist on the jacket: $16-25 (unless you are taking it in a lot). Waist on the pant: $10-20. Tailoring should never cost $100. If it does, you probably bought the wrong size! Good luck.

  • good tailors are like good barbers

  • ill wear a double vent just to not be like bush

  • This guy is soch a gay00

  • This guy is soch a gay

  • This guy is really thin man.

  • You'll look nice in anything if you're tall and good-looking.

If you're 5'5'' and butt-ugly, Gucci and Paul Smith would be wasted on you.

  • What colour would you say the suit at 0.44 is?

  • What colour would you say the suit at 0.46 is?

  • A mate of mine has this trick where he goes into a clothes shop & tries on a really expensive suit in the changing rooms, only to urinate in the trousers.

He then replaces it towards the back of the rail, where it probably won’t be picked out again for several hours/days. Sometimes I’ve gone in there a few days after he’s been in and the stink of piss is nauseating!

  • You know, I heard this guy named bjbobjr made good vids.... ;)

  • I have one I'm 22 but it's nice a little baggy on the pants though

  • thanks for the tips ,, you really have a good taste in suits, i have also the Hugo Boss slim fit its really a fitted nice suit and i do own alot of express and Calvin Klien

  • how many suits do have everybody answer:

    i have 5 suits i m 15 ...

my father has 20 hes a businessman.

  • @Mastergenius00 I have 6, Im also 15 ^^.

  • @Mastergenius00 I've stuck with 3, a dark navy blue plain two piece/two button in 11 1/2 ounce wool. A double breasted 1 1/4 inch blue/charcoal pinstripe, 6:4 button, and a navy and light blue window-check two button three piece in 8 1/2 oz (which is still on the way). The first was an 18th birthday present from Henry Poole, with the last being a uni congratulation present, from the same tailor. The pinstripe is from Pal Zileri. It's not how many you have that matters remember.

  • @Mastergenius00 You should ideally know every piece of info about each of your suits/jackets, bespoke or not remember. I have friends with multiple ill-fitting jackets or trousers. Having 1 or 2 very well fitting, preferably bespoke, suits is far more desirable than a multitude of lesser items. Of course if for some obscure reason you have 5 bespoke suits at 15 (pointless as you're still growing) then ignore my advice.

  • @MakiRole 2 i got from my father (they were two small small for him size 50) one i had bhought with my girlfriend before the vacation i had got enough money from zara(velvet) one from c&a(grey) and my best suit from america classic suits for more then 400Euros i got a present for my birthday from all my family.

  • Nice info

  • Is it me or is his suit jacket too short? The # 1 rule of "The Perfect Suit" should be that it fit you well. Pretty much everything else is an expression of your individuality; be bold, be brave in your selection of colors and pattern, unless it's for work, then be conservative, be boring. The length of the suit is almost impossible to fix, so don't buy it too long, or too short. Pretty much everything else can be fix by a good tailor. Off the rack suits will need to be tailor for your body

  • @AlexCyrus

no ur right but i guess his hands are longer but still it fits on him looking good just him or maybe guy's in his type of body.

  • Barney Stinson made this video.

  • Look at his shoulders... DIVOTS!

  • @TempusFuckit , dude i totally agree the shoulder pads come way out than required!!

  • never ever button the bottom button!!

  • Barney Stinson was here.

  • well .. it looks big on u

  • no not gay

  • I would say that Italian suits are the best tailored. And, yes, there are many good names which are not famous, mostly from Italy.

  • haw about suits for guys over 220 pounds?what you recomend?

tell u what......if you are 160 pounds and 6 feet high everything will look good

  • you want a perfect suit? ask Barney

  • Comment removed

  • that guy's not gay....

  • MODEL??? Hatchet face. LOOOOONG face with close-set eyes and pointy looooooong chin. Hook nose.

  • Pedo Andrade

  • Had mine tailor made =)

  • In Italy theres' many many many shops... ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA, HERMES, ARMANI, and a lot of not famous shops ..but very very good.. that makes suit with tour perfect size.. made by hand.. this guy .. know nothing about it.. SOLO GLI ITALIANI SANNO VESTIRSI..

  • @Wei55Adler hermes is italian ????!!! ahahhaha .... hum no .

  • Dont buckle up the bottom button? well I dont buckle the upper one. I bet he dont know why the bottom one is being kept open. I know why and its out of date

  • Comment removed

  • @Leon1700 better proportions never go out of date

  • @XantosFlamel Its not because of proporton but beacuse of good manors. Historiacly it statred with gentlemens having the bottom button undone so they can draw sword withou problem. Thats it. If I unbuckle the bottom one the shape of my body shifts from cone into sphere

  • @Leon1700 For a 2 button suit the suit is always cut with the bottom button left undone. If you do up the bottom button it will break the line of the suit. So what if the tradition stems from some fat guy over 100 years ago.

  • Nice clip :) Good job stressing the importance of a tailor, they are underutilized these days.

  • orkut:procurar por ander$on am$terdã holanda

  • meu msn:livingstone-777@hot..

  • ...olá pedro!adoro vc....poderia me add no orkut???abraços

  • agraciado!

  • his suit looks nice. what label?

  • @ChaosButterfly8 : Probably Paul Smith or Gucci... lol, no really, It is not PS, doesn't look like Gucci either. I would say it is Prada, or D&G.

  • When i look at this guys hair and his suit i go "BARNEYS SECRET SUIT-GUY"

  • @DigitalSubzero hahaha thumb up :D

  • @DigitalSubzero SUIT UP!

  • you need a knitted thin tie and the only shirts worth touching are those with penny, tab or button down collars. shirts should be tight around your wrist and loose around the arm. mod suits should have five inch long side vents and the mod trousers are tapered generally to 15 inches at the ankle, but this can be too wide for some. dont bother with gucci or paul smith or any highstreet designer, if you can spend the money, go to carnaby street.

  • what ??you dont pick up pussy??you pick up ass?

  • i always buy italian suits and always pick up pussy when i go to casino....try it

  • @mamadgavkosh

    Haha you comedian.

  • i love skinny ties with a fitted suit. I love the Hugo Boss Jam/Sharp.

  • That tie he is wearing is terrible. Talk about no fashion get some colors and Patterns going.

  • Well my prom suite was Zara, they really have cool suits :)

  • Wait... What??? Never button the bottom button? Nonsense! I stopped watching after that bit.

  • @Nietopyrz360 : What do you mean??? That is the only rule that can never be broken...Go ahead and button the bottom if you want. It was only designed for decor. I bet you still wear pleated paints.

  • Actually, this rule supposedly dates back to Edward VII, so my opinion doesn't necessarily come from me being old-fashioned. Anyhow as much as I love monarchy (Edward VII being one of my favourites in fact), I still think that making this a fashion rule because a king was once too fat to button his suit down properly is full of crap. It's not even that I want to make everyone button down their bottom buttons but please don't say it's mandatory because in my personal view it looks awful.

  • Also, regardless of all this buttoning down argument, "three-button suit makes you look like you're stuck in the nineties"? I dread to even imagine what he'd have to say about waistcoats. I really don't mean to sound offensive, but this makes the guy sound like a fashion whore.

  • And yet, the suit he is wearing makes him look out of proportion, like a very small frame short man with narrow shoulders and a big head. The jacket is too short, and all in all he looks like a 30 year old man wearing his confirmation suit.

  • @Gulfporter I totally disagree. It's a really good modern fit, not too daring but not too stuffy either way. It looks great on him.

  • @Gulfporter I don't know about you but his suit fits him perfectly... It's not supposed to be a gown or your dad's suit you borrowed for prom

  • @Gulfporter I don't agree. In fact, except for the shoulders (which are a bit too wide), the suit he's wearing fits him quite well. You should look at pictures of men in the late 1800s - early 1900s wearing lounge suits. They weren't boxy, baggy, and heavily padded. Actually, they were shaped somewhat like this.

I, too, am tired of baggy, boxy "car salesman" suits. I'm also tired of people who have the gall to affirm that suits should be big and boxy.

  • watvh this

  • yup! best thing, is to find your own tailor if not always go with armani......just my 2'cent

  • Your tie bulge out slightly, fucking hippy.

  • this was a very good video . cleared things up for me dressing vise. got a wedding to attend to tomorrow night . so thanks !

  • can we stay out of politics inclinations especially when the political campaign is over? What a nerd

  • and yea i agree most americans i know dont really have style. but i always try to go in depth with style. i like the slim look and i feel good in slim suits. most americans dont really like the slim look but its a new generation and baggy is definitely out!

  • damn man this video helped me a lot. and i know a lot about pedro andrade. he's has been involved in many fashion shows and has been on different websites to throw out his input on different types of fashion. but yea his advice really helps in terms of looking your best in a suit!

  • I watched this video before I went out clubbing. Followed Pedro's advice, and went into town with nice self-confidence. That self-confidence made me kiss with 4 diff. girls that night lol.

  • pedro, obrigado pelas dicas!!!!!!!

    um abraço

  • best suit guide so far

  • Great advice Mr Andrade! Did not disagree with you for a second.

Would I be incorrect by calling a "double-vent" a Continental Cut?

Lastly, what's your take on pick stitching? Me, uggh! Hate it.

  • double vent is the traditional English style

  • Italian suit is the nicest! Not so old, not so modern! Just original!

  • Three Buttoned suits are stuck in the 90's?Two buttoned suits come from americans-stuck-on-lack-of-fashion.I can't blame You though Pedro,You can't bite the hand that feeds You

  • His suit jacket is too short. I would not take him seriously in a business transaction. He should be in a lounge with the rest of the lizards.

    Pardon the pund...

  • i bought an expensive suit but the jacket i think is too long , it goes to half way up my thigh, can u get a suit jacket length altered?

    does it cost alot?

  • It's too long!! You americans have no style. :(

  • what is with you guys and acting like snobs your just like the french and you treat us like a bastard child

  • yes your right--im an american and my people have no style!!! I hate to admit it but you are rite!

  • @dessersystems bitch you have no style if you still think bashing americans is "cool"...typical arrogant jealous asshole.

    fucking lil loser. grow up.

  • @IntellectualConcepts haha jealous... of what I ask you? Fat people all over the place? The world's combined hatred? Poverty? Corruption? And last but not least; bad taste (you've gotta loose those button down shirts with your suits brother!)? No, I'm not jealous, but I love you just the same anyway.

  • @dessersystems i like penis

  • Stupid tips. '3 button suit and your stuck in the 90s.' ??? I got several double breasted suit, am I stuck in the 1940s? Or two buttoned I guess then I am stuck in 70s, 80s. Minus the hedious plaids and lapels of the 70s. Today mens suits are card board, cookie cutter cutouts from the Republic of Bananas, Zarass, Abertross & Finch designers.

  • beauty interesting like character

  • haha no cemonent

  • Express and Zara are immoderately fused, go to OFF Fifth/Nordstrom Rack or monitor Gilt for superior suits of equal price. Banana Republic has a yew nice looking suits

  • Thanks ;)

  • Well I also think he is a bit wrong on the 3 button issue.. Now adays its every where Asia (Pakistan my own observation) Europe ..n even if its out of fashion,I think one shod nt get into the 80 n 90 phenomena ..just see wat looks good..n u'll b the man of show..rather than just fixing ur suitings in a party all the time n thinkin no one iz looking at u.. REMEMBER " Looking GOOD is BETTER than FASHION"

  • Comment removed

  • I think its funny how he said that a three button suit is a flashback to the 90's. Perhaps he should go to Europe, because that is how European men wear alot of thier suits. Its all about style

  • yes you're right, especially in the UK

  • Yeah lol here in the Uk we're all still loving 1995! Can't wait for the Millenium!

  • great tip if you'r working on Wall street, you gotta look like a fuckin' model who knows everything about the fashion industry. nobody wants just brains here. thanks for the tip, how about something on the shoes, though?

  • Black.Wool.Slim.2 buttons.Flat front pants.Just follow my advice.

  • durrr, now explain how i out it on since obviously i cant figure it out for myself

  • This is great, every time I hear some prejudice comment about gay men I think, "Hey its a gay man that made that suit you're wearing look so nice."

  • lol and if they arent wearing a suit?

  • not all tailors are gay? or designers for that matter, way to stereotype

  • @Cssfiend who cares if its a stereotype if its true. thats like if i said the sky is blue and u argued that somtimes their are clouds.

  • @namejacked well no, i dont think you know anything about tailoring or couture

  • @Cssfiend if they arnt gay they are metro-sexual to the point they should still have to cough up their man cards.

  • @Cssfiend im 6'6'' everything i own HAS to be tailored. i have delt with enough of the fruits to have made my own decision

  • @namejacked just curious..how much do you spend on tailoring, and what brands and fits do you purchase for suits?

  • Unvented

  • You need 3 suits to start ... not only one. Dark grey, Navy Blue, and either pin stripe Blue or pin stripe grey. (white pn stripe).

Then you need two white shirts, and then find your color. Most men in finance should wear Blue, and maybe another pastel color such as pink or yellow, Built your wardrobe on those 2 colors that suit you.

This guy has a suit with perfect measurements. Most men wear suits with too long sleeves, or just plain too long .. they look sloppy.

  • @supercorm hey, can anyone help me? i need to know how long a suit should be cause with my suit i can cuff my hand right at the bottom but i think its too long cause when i see those skinny fitted suits they are not traditionally very long like with his suit when he tells you about the length his arms are slightly bent when he cuffs his hands at the bottom of his suit. so what should i do? pls reply.. and can the length be adjusted??

  • @varun009 hey man if u dont look like a fool in it rock that shit. a suit is one thinng but confidence is worth twice as much.

  • @namejacked well, im 6 feet tall and pretty skinny.

  • @varun009 : How tall are you, and how much do you weigh??? The sleve can be adjusted, but the lenth of the jacket can not.

    Thanks :)

  • Thx Pedro. Very good tips. Now for the next video can we get one on male shoes?

    TY

    Luc
