  • Stay together is such a beautiful song but if you like this you should check this out:

THE VINYLS-GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD

It'll only take 3mins and this band are great!

  • I love the little dancing brett's doing at 1:40. So sexy!!! P:

  • i write song about haveing nothing in the place an some nut stole it prob tears for fears could be anyone

  • true, it's a silly video indeed, but Brett looks so sexy in it...

  • @lizoox1 Exactly what I was going to say. Brett looks LUSCIOUS.

  • i think brett turned some straight guys into gays back in the day

  • 29 dislikes. Bernard Butler has a lot of time on his hands, it seems.

  • Fave suede song .....awesome!

  • this is my fave suede song bar none

    seriously

  • I listened to this 15 times in a row a couple of days ago. No regrets!

  • They played this at Brixton last night. Amazing. Amazing. AMAZING!

  • @RicheyRevol they were great - I'd chosen the Dog Man Star night out of the three. How stupid I was - I should have done all three. Fuck work

  • Great video!! thank you for share, my friend!!!!

  • TUNE!!! Absolutely fantastic!

  • Thank You Suede For being there at a time in my life when no other band was. Back in the day Cleveland the home of the rocknroll hall of hame was only playing one british band on the radio boring Oasis and your standard rubbish grunge. I had to read some alt mag just to hear about Suede. Thank you Bernard and Brett for allowing me to escape to a much better place when I put on one of your records

  • He looks sooooooo gay.... But I love him ♥

  • Great song but shite video. Suede was one of the last band to issues singles with B-sides as good as the A-sides. They obviously took that tradition from the Smiths. It hurt them in the end as fine cuts like "My Insatiable One" never made it on the proper albums, making them less appealing to America. "Stay Together" was perhaps their last great single with amazing B-sides. Bernard left the band soon after before completing "Dog Man Star" and Suede became just another pop band, good but lack art

  • @HaloBlack01 the song was written by a band member after he lost his father, I don't think it's romantic, it a beautiful piece of music though

  • @deansandell they lyrics are of a romantic nature though

  • Gay video, love the song though!

  • Lol! This record makes me want a slow dance with someone. Its really a romantic song if you listen to the lyrics...

  • que guapo estaba brett siempre estare enamorada de el, brett was so handsome there, I¨ll be always in love with him, if u want to find me at facebook I an MarryMariMari from Aviles,Spain, nice to meet all suede fans, have a good night and let stay together, god save brett

  • @mariposaverde1000 xx from england

  • And too much make up.

  • Sueda.

  • beautiful song.........

  • I love this song!!

  • They did had something special,,this number is all great, specaly the guitar.

  • brett here is hot!!!

  • I love the music and video

  • omg Suede were whole my teenage angst <3 I was obsessed, they made me what i am nowadays. Best time of my life... :')

  • one of the best Suede song

  • La mejor canción de todos los tiempos, con diferencia.

The most beautiful song of always.

  • sexy song

  • this is how they get to the end of Butler's riffs.they have figures the this song, is how the early suede style could get into what people loves. No wonder why Brett doesn't like it,coz it is like persuading a bunch of "no-ones" to know about them.

  • amo

  • Like Queen...

  • Dig it!!

  • One of my favorite Suede songs ever. I still remember being completely blown away the first time I heard this song.

  • I can't believe the band hates this so much. Unfathomable. Yeah the lyric is a little simplistic but they are still on fire musically, despite the lack of communication at this point. Definitely in my Top 5 Suede, no question.

  • Brett Anderson is so pretty. I wish I could go back in time, kidnap him, steal his face and wear it like a mask... I can't be the only one who wishes they could do this, surely?

  • great tune, a shame they weren't popular in the US

  • @suggestedusername nah, who needs populurity

  • @suggestedusername i once read a comment on blur video :" suede gay as shit, they are horrible. why people bring about suede with blur, oasis and the verve" this idiot is american. i have to say i'm really happy to see that there are still a few americans that have great music taste like you(especially when most of the teenagers getting into gaga whore)

  • @suggestedusername There was a flash of popularity with a couple of early singles though.

  • somebody knows? Does any of this band members know how to write notes?

I wonder HOW TO COMPOSE/ARRANGE such complex song to sound so simple.

And yet every time u hear something new?

  • always fooled by 1:56 sound, suddenly trying to -like- pickup phone etc.

    :)

  • Listening to it a bit longer everyday and ill go nuts. And i cant agree e-ringo : personally i hate symbolism. As for video - imo its mature, balanced, begginning-to-end finished piece of pop-art .

  • such a good tune

  • Seriously considering going to London from the US to see the reunion show

  • @alleghenyman

is there Bernard Butler? if he isn't, then it isn't worth

  • fucking briliant...long live the 90's :D

  • awesome song but umm r they gays or something?

  • @asafon12 no lol just a bit camp

  • @asafon12 -And?

  • He kinda looks like Dan Filth

  • Beautiful song...the intro is spell binding. I can't wait to see them in December at the O2 in London. So glad they reformed. Bravo.

  • I would love to come to you'r house tonight brett..

  • Stay together? Brett for you anything <3 :)

  • It is amazing. Love it lots!

  • i CAN'T BELIEVE BRETT ANDERSON(SINGER) SAID THIS WAS ONE OF HIS LEAST FAVOURITE SONGS HE DID! IT IS GORGEOUS AND SO, I CAN'T EVEN THINK OF A WORD GOOD ENOUGH TO DESCRIBE IT.

  • @fripp1976 me too! :D hihhi hi is so sweet! :P~

  • @fripp1976 i agree..its a beautiful record

  • Top band

  • brett's voice is so sexy!!!

  • oooo this is exciting, its the first time i've ever been counter-commented:D

nah the song isnt up there for me

  • haha, you're welcome ;)

  • Hahahahaha....

I'm not 'youtubing right' unless people disagree with me

    re: counter-comments

  • hey listen i dont sit watching videos all day, i dont know the bloody language

  • Whoah! I was just making a joke!

I'm just saying that I expect a bunch of comment-backs in my inbox because I'm an opinionated troll.

    Have a good day..

  • sorry:S i didnt realise lol

i hate when people take jokes to seriously, i wasnt:S

  • brett looks awesome!

the song is good, and yes, ONE OF THE BEST!!!

  • brett looks like a woman!!

this song is good, but not one of the best

  • why wasnt this amazing song released on an album>?

  • Love this song.. Butler is truly one of the greatest guitarists. Much much better than noel gallagher etc.

  • As far as too many empty symbolisms, all they would have to do is include a disclaimer of sorts, perhaps with what the crap they really wanted to get across with this vid through lyrics, etc. Just a thought :o)

Hey could you please tell me what album this is off? I am getting back into this band!!!

    ThanX

  • This was a single only release, released between Suede and Dog Man Star.

  • Was never released on an album, single only!

  • Simplente GENIAL !!!!

  • The Brett Anderson dictionary for songwriting...contains the words 'suburban', 'nuclear' and 'poison', use repeatedly (or together, even)

  • mainly latter lyrics, Anderson's early work wasn't repetitive, you are correct, though this is a classic

  • And "Satellite towns". Comes up at least twice in Dog Man Star, and possibly other times.

  • sunday,

    17.1.2010,

    waiting desperetly,help

    offa,mazra,aco,israel

  • brett looks great in this video :D

  • great song, shit video!

  • I love this band! It's still my favourite one since I've heard them for the first time ages ago!!! x

  • see what u mean about 911 images

  • look at images 911 2001 SERIOUSLY

  • it's too hard to be believe that he now becomes a poetic singer with loads of piano sounds...............

  • " ...let's stay, these days are ours, let's die together?" touching!

  • brett is so beautiful

  • Síiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! Lo es

  • @ilanitg3 damon is better

  • @ilanitg3 I'm a man, and he slays me too.

  • I'm perSUEDEd lol... Seriously though... I actually am haha. Ahh the vocals and musique! It all makes me rock about in a most ideal manner! :X

  • brilliant tune, suede at their very best

  • man moths?

  • RICKY LEAVE IT!

  • phenomonal

  • Two hearts under the skyscrapers. Great song.

  • Funny... Love Ricky's taste in 60s and 70s stuff... However, this singer gives me the motts.

  • what does "motts" mean? you mean the apple sauce brand?

  • Yooooooo hoooooooo antidisestablishmentarianism!

  • wtf? explain your jibberish, wots that got to do with suede>

  • "His head was in great condition... Just not attached to his body".

  • I didn't know Rickey Martin played in a rock band... SOOOOO COOOOL! #1!

  • karly pilkbods has a head like a fucking orange

  • Could the world fall?

  • Pushed off a bike by a shadow

  • He got hot, he got so hot his lips fell off.

  • I...er...sorted it.

    HLAFO

  • You'll never get anything done by planning.

  • He saw a bee have an 'eart attack.

  • karl pilkington was the founding member of suede...got kicked out cause of his orange shaped brain box....dirrrty citrus impersonating bastard.

  • A dog has got human eyes

  • Ricky sent me here!x

    ...Karl Pilkington...x

  • Ricky used to manage these guys! i cud eat a knob at night

  • What's Tomato with you?

  • Today's cure is actually tomorrow's leg ache!

  • Today's cure is tomorrow's headache.

  • RICKY! I WAS FIRST

  • THE COLDNESS GETS RID OF THE BADNESS

  • old cold belly badness

(stumbles into hospital) 'Have you got an ashtray?!' 'This is no smoking.'

  • Very under rated song, i've just finished rewriting the article on wikipeida on this song, very different to thier peers. Blur, oasis, pulp etc. Suede deserve more credit for their work, perhaps a reformation would create a revival in classics such as this again.

  • Why is he soooooo fit? ;D heheh

  • i thought the single suede's greatest achievement. not just for the single, but for the b sides too.

  • It hilarious to see Brett with the makeup, plucked eyebrows, and doing it up for the video, even they were beyond that by this time. If you read Love and Poison, you actually get a better appreciation for Anderson specifically, and what he has been trying to accomplish. I have a lot of respect for him and this band as artists. They did this all on their own terms, and made great fecking songs.

  • beautiful song.

  • sweet old times...

  • Saw this performed at Blackpool '94 with slightly different lyrics. Ironic song title given it was their last single before Bernard left.

Bernard's first solo single after leaving Suede = STAY. Suede's first single co-written with Bernard's replacement (Richard Oakes) = TOGETHER (New Generation double a side).

  • i had this song played at my brothers funeral as we left the church, it was beautiful, but makes me cry every time i hear it, love you bro, he was only 33, love and miss him so much.

  • Thank you Paul for introducing Suede to me 10 years ago. Love you darling.

  • i think i was 22 as well, remember when they played it on Top Pops... all my house mates hated it. yeah, still a good song, b4 all this txting, bloggin, twitterin, facebookin even existed. strange thought, another life. ah the sweet joy of melancholic reverie

  • great times, wats happenend to this music.

    music today is horrible

  • its not horrible, just less varied, more homogenised.

  • @brettzig85 Seriously it ain't. It hasn't been in better shape for years, Indie music has had a huge influx of Brooklyn-based bands (Grizzly Bear, Deerhunter, Animal Collective), larger groups like Radiohead still on the radar, Hip hop has interesting characters popping up here and there like MIA and electronic music has the likes of Flying Lotus. And then there's the older bands still around from Portishead, Aphex Twin, Super Furry Animals, (Radiohead again), etc. (Hey and Suede reunited)

  • Damn, I was 22 when this came out. Remember getting the album the day it was out in stores. That shit makes me feel SO old. Great song, great times!

  • Yeah, I was 20. One of my fondest memories about Suede (aside from interviewing them in '97) was rushing out to buy their singles. I've never had that kind of excitement about any other band.

  • ive always loved suede...but i mirror ya with...gettin excited...and goin out and buyin....charlatans,,,singles!!!

  • @ohgimemo Holy shit I was the exact same way back then lol.

  • nate 2 gay la bengong!!!

  • Great song by Suede, should have got to number one.

  • Despite having heard the song hundreds of times, I keep coming back again and again to this video- it truly shows a band at the peak of their powers.

  • i still have the single of this, its an awesome song.

  • Not only do the band despise the video, oddly the despise the song too. I think it's phenomenal. Must have held residual bad feelings at the time for them.

  • Perfection.,Oh the memories *sigh*I had a HUGE crush on brett & still do. He's beautifully feminine.

  • Reminds me of what a great time i had in 94. good year!

  • renins me of when i was happy in love

  • incredible band..i was such a fan back in the days...been a while since i saw a video from these guys..i had actually forgotten how gay Brett actually looked back then...

  • fantastica canzone..ma che fine hanno fatto i suede?

  • this great song reminds of some guys i loved so much... 96?

  • Comment removed

  • He's got an amazing voice, beautiful face...a little scary but unique never the less.

  • gifted in songwriting

  • what are the symbolisms?

  • Despite the 'empty symbolism' I love this song and vid...

  • You know, I read that comment about the band not being happy with the "empty symbolism" in the video- but what could be more relevant than Butler turned upside down? This was his swansong afterall.

  • i was lucky to live in the 90s...

  • this is the first song I heard of them and instantly fell in love back then. will always love it, no matter how much they/brett diss this beautiful song. ;o) it will always be extra special to me. including those b-sides. *swooon* *sigh*

  • love u Brett

  • Dark 90's London....

  • The full length version of this with brass band finish is simply magnificent.

  • sigh, I wish Id been born in 1980, I could have been a teenager to this.

  • Yeah... I wish that too... :/:) I<3 90's
