@Zebedex yes..a bishop's response is : "The church encourages family planning and responsibility. The use of contraceptives involves medical, practical, and economic concerns. Therefore, the church approves their use. There are many factors the couple ought to discuss with each other as well as their spiritual father to determine if they are indeed proceeding by God's will, and not for selfish reasons"
@christiskingofall I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I misuderstood you but I just want to point out that salvation is not only by grace or faith, for "Faith without works is dead" James 2:20...All of James chapter 2 actually discusses that faith and works go together hand in hand; James 2: 14 "What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?" You are correct that we do need faith and God's grace of course, but works too
@touchthesky65 I was only quoting a verse, Ephesians 2:8 " For it is by grace ye have been saved, through faith, and this is not of your own, it is the GIFT of God, NOT by works so that no man may boast." The cause is faith, the effects are works. Works are but filthy rags in the face of God.
I am a Roman Catholic. My eye doctor is Egypttian, and a Catholic. His mother is a Catholic, and his father is a Copt. With all that is going on in Egypt you are in my prayers during my Rosary and Masses. I continue to pray to the martyrs during Christmas. This is a beautiful Liturgy! Please be safe the best you can. I am glad that I did a search on "coptic liturgy". May Jesus Christ keep you safe!
@Dynasonic51 Praying the rosary is completely against the word of God. Mary has not yet risen from the dead, she is not queen of heaven, and she is not co-mediator/redeemer. How dare you worship her as such! BTW, Mary was not a virgin when she died either, James and others are all from her womb after she gave birth to the LORD Jesus(Matt 13.55-57,can back me up on this)! My LORD and Saviour,is not a cracker, nor is he a glass of wine.John is a metaphor.I speak as one who takes the Word Literally.
@Menechem (The Holy Gospel According to Saint John 6, 53-58) The word 'ἐσθίω' used in this particular context by John, is a Koine Greek word used to denote a literal devouring of flesh, not a metaphorical one. 'ἐσθίω' is rarely, if ever, used in the New Testament or Greek language in a figurative manner.
(The First Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians 10, 16-17) The word 'εἰμί' used by Paul means, literally, 'to be present'.
AMEN !!
@AirSparta the English equivalent is "Cyril." So in English the Apostles to the Slavs are called Sts Cyril and Methodius. I believe their feast day is Feb 14.
@Loonygirl23 i thought kiriele!!!! ah ah Nice kerya le son...can u tell me the egiptian pronunciation(english spelling) of the name kirille? Tks so much, Gd day!
@TheCrookedTimber : thanks Crooked! We too. We love you so much. Let's face it, our love and respect for each other's church's will surely result in something positive.
Jesus is God and he will come to reward all those who have suffered because of his name and one of the nations who suffered because f the Lords name are Coptic people, Lord Jesus will redeem them and he will wipe away all the tears from their eyes. May Lord Jesus give s mercy for us sins May the precious blood of Jesus wash away our sins. Jesus is present we have a new witness and his name is Stanley Villavincencio from Cebu Philippines, read his story he will convince you. Praise the Lord Jesus

If you are claiming to be Orthodox, than why do you violate 1 Corinthians 11 and wear a head covering?

Thank you so much for your comment Dynasonic51. In Isaiah 19/19 Blessed be Egypt my people, so God will keep it safe for us.

This is good and orthodox theology made prayer. In the west we can learn from them, our servises are becoming more and more trivial and base.
