Check out the "alt version" on here. GREAT song! It has a classic sound like the Clash Casbah. John's ex Yummy Fur is another one to check out. Not every song is this "hit" but John has it in him for sure. He's a really talented guy with a wide range of influences & approaches to writing. They have a playfulness that reminds me of old Postcard label -ie Orange Juice) And, funny enough, Edwyn Collins just recorded them! Check them out in Wikipedia for some very interesting facts you may not know.
