those 5mm doesnt make the gun stronger, its the length and the ammo and the speed of the ammo.

@95predator Also the KE rounds come out at approx 1800 m/s while M1 approx 1300m/s. T-90 is lighter by 20 tonns and has much superior off-road ability then M1 - M1 didn't get through Malaysian jungle. Only T-90 and T-84 (Ukrainian) did. T90 also has auto-loader while if the loader in M1 gets injured in combat then M1 is in trouble. And then there is price.

Not bagging M1. Its a very modern tank with latest in communication and C3I compatibility and reputation to boot. But T-90 is WAY underrated

USA had to buy its abrams cannon from germany. their strykers suck...

because russia has much more tanks. and bmp 3 and bradley are nearly equal in quality= these have no quality. further russia has much more artillery.

95predator T-90 is actually equally well protected due to ERA as Abrams but surpasses it for accurate long range fire due to missiles, It has active protection against ATGM, LAW/RPG, really mucks around with IR systems thanks to IR dazzlers (boxes with red "eyes" either side of cannon), has EMP generator to destroy radio-controlled mines/IEDs, has remote fusing for HEFrag rounds. Its HVAPFSDS are Tungsten (more dense then DU) and Reflex missiles penetrate >870mm of RHA and have top-attack mode.

Because unlike the Americans the Russians had always to fight...at least since the Mongol invasions 800 years ago. It was often prolonged fighting over centuries but they defeated them all..Tartar Khanates, Ottoman Empire, Swedish Empire, Teuton Knights, Persians, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Napoleon's 'Grande Armee', Nazis and Japan.
