They should have the right to stay, too, because they were born there. But they cannot have both, they cannot live in Ireland and be British citizens. They have to decide whether they want to remain on their land, as Irish citizens - or wether their "Britishness" inside is stronger. Thats my opinion.

@Michaelmop what some of the replies didn't say about the origins of the conflict were the 60 years of Ulster Unionist Party rule from NI's formation in 1922 and in that time catholics were treated as second-class citizens in their own country. Other issues such as gerrymandering and sectarianism also contributed to the spark to conflict. These violations of civil rights created a hotbed of hatred, creating a state of chaos as people 'rose up'.
