  • Thank you. :)

  • I am totally amazed of Notre-Dame's history!

  • Everything in Paris seems so clean and neat. Everything in Italy is soooo grotty. You really notice that.

  • i' ve been there 3 days ago....the most beautiful monument of paris...

  • Thanks for this film :-). I was there in july but my photos inside wasn't good.

  • Merci for the ride, en haut de Notre Dame, dans le clocher.

  • Haha did you see Quasimodo? Jk jk ^^

  • Bello, bello davvero my friend!!!!

  • BTW, Paul, I like the photo album approach to uniting various snippets of video footage — how did you create that effect?

  • this is one of the features of apple's iMovie 2009 program.

    it's nice, isn't it.

it allows you to select the stills from the video footage and do the re-position. you could select to have it done manually or it can do it automatically.

  • Hey Paul,

Great job videotaping your trip up the Notre Dame cathedral! The imagery is crisp and clear with wonderful colors. How long did it take you to walk through the Notre Dame cathedral, climb up to the dome, and visit the crypt? I plan to be in Paris in mid September and am thinking of allocating between 3-4 hours to the cathedral Friday morning-early afternoon. Is that enough time to explore it? You seem to be going at a leisurely pace in this video.

  • thanks!

there are about 400 steps and going up takes about 5 to 10 minutes depending on who's in front of you.

after the 400, you're on the main observation area, then you can walk further up to the bell and there you really can see everything at a 360 pov.

you do have lots of time up there as the ushers did not ask us to go back down.

going down the spiral steps, especially with my large camera and bag was tricky.

    still, it was fun!

if you use a camcorder, be sure to set it for auto WB
