MARRIED...WITH CHILDREN outlasted Fox's first batch of shows, ending in 1997,ten years after premiering. Julie Kavner and Dan Castelleneta are Fox's two longest-tenured employees, starting on THE TRACEY ULLMAN SHOW,premiering on April 5,1987 with MWC and still going today on the Ullman animated spinoff THE SIMPSONS(going since late 1989,production-wise).
DUET and its spinoff OPEN HOUSE was last seen in 1991 ans '92 on the Lifetime channel. The series were never released on DVD. The series introduced many viewers to Jack's son Chris Lemmon.
Hey,it's not only the Bundys and Johnny Depp,it's Ben and Laura Kelly Coleman(Matthew Laurance and Mary Page Keller from DUET),it's Richard and Linda Phillips(Chris Lemmon and Alison LaPlaca from DUET),Tracey Ullman,Peter DeLuise,Dustin Nguyen and Holly Robinson Peete(the latter 3 from 21 JUMP STREET).
1987 was the first year of FOX, and it had a Live Action FOX Logo, complete with an arch on the right hand side, and searchlights. It was set on top of a skyscraper, as the following season had it relocated on ground level, at the Studio. They eventually abandoned the Live Action Logo by Year 3 or 4. Just a little pointless history that can be interesting.
@DoverBroadcasting Easy, they made a bar in between those two bars, and made it so that they won't be seen in plain sight. And the letters have a bit of something like that, but with poles.
I was 8 years old and dam do I remember Duet and 21 Jump Street and Tracy Ulman and Werewolf. It wouldnt be long before The Simpsons and In Living Color made fox really takeoff.
Brandon Call was over at ABC at the time playing one of Snow White & Eric's sons on The Charmings. The much older actor you're pointing out is William Gallo of Second Chance (which became Boys Will Be Boys mid-way through its run).
This was for the 1987-88 season indeed, since 'Don't Let Fox Weekend Pass You By' was the original version of this jingle. The faster, re-written version, 'This Is the Year (This Is Fox)' was used for the 1988 and '89 seasons. YM incorrectly listed 1988 as the date in his video's introduction.
YM had to move the '88 campaign over to MegaVideo because he recieved a threat from YouTube after Fox found out about it. The only clip of the '89 campaign that I saw was a quick :30 promo off someone's KCPQ 13 commercial breaks.
I can actually explain about why I pulled out the other two Fox campaigns.
the overall reason was that Fox found out about "Mr. Dabada" in which I used a scene from Family Guy, Fox had it took down off YouTube, so as a precaution for having my account pulled, I pulled off most videos that had something Fox-related.
The Simpsons, MWC, and In Living Color was perhaps the best shows Fox ever had and doubt it survived without them.

@YoshiAngemon I'm still trying to figure out how they got that big FOX and those bars to float.

I remember most of these shows, including Second Chance with a young Matthew Perry. I think I was about one of 5 people who saw that show...

The Simpsons, followed by the NFL and more recently Idol was the real reason why FOX still lives today; it really made them profits!

I'm trying hard as hell to find episodes of the show "Duet". THis is probably the closest I will get to see the old cast.

Is that Brandon Call at 0:55? I thought he didn't get his big break until 1991.

Are u sure this is from 1988? Cause the last time I checked, this campaign was from '89.

Well if that's the case, then what happened to the '88 and '89 campaigns? Cause they used to be on here awhile back.
