@traxxastmax1. check every bearing. i ran mine on beach. cleaned it really well. and found 4 bearings had failed including motor bearing.

I once ran my vxl rustler in a field with san and destroyed every bearing. Was not worth it.

@2008calander That sucks. Gotta keep your truck lubed & cleaned as necessary. I've run a bunch of vehicles in salty sand and even through the seawater without issue.

@stampedevxl Great question! One I've been asking myself frequently! I have a couple more revisions planned for the Slash 4x4 platform, but eventually it may fall to the wayside since the shorter wheelbase of the 'Pede is better for the types of driving I like to do.

@ TheJang - You must really like the maintenance required to run out in wet sand next to salt water. Must buy contact cleaner by the case/pallet.

@sensi023 What you didn't see in this video is that I drove right through the saltwater as usual :) Take it home, give it a nice rinse in the shower, dry, clean bearings, lube -- takes time but it's no sweat!

Lots of ideas swirlin & twirlin' for making a project out of it. Kinda tough to justify having two big-tire 4x4s at the same time. I'll have to reconsider after the next couple iterations on the Chimera-A!
