winter is removed from minecraft we can only find snowy mountains when the world generates but it will never rain or snow any more notch removed it last year.

@xSKASx Christmas is not a christian celebration. It came from Rome, where they celebrated the birth of the sun god, and it came also from Scandinavia where they celebrated Jol (or somthing like that). Jol was a celebration about the sun turning and the dark time.

@Jarle212 That may have been some other holiday long ago that some may mistake for Christmas, but Christmas is undeniably Christian, celebrating the Birth of Jesus. Although it most likely didn't occur anytime near December, the actual date was lost in time, so the ancient holiday you are referring to may have influenced the date chosen to celebrate.
