I somewhat agree with your assessment of BF, however it is just a different kind of competitiveness. I've been in large team matches in BF, it's impressive to see squads play together as a team against another competitive team.

But with MW, the Search & Destroy mode is almost identical to that of CS (with no respawns). That can be very competitive and is not run n gun.
