  • Love the video and your willingness to share your delicious recipes. My only comment would be instead of discarding the whites (which some folks will literally do), save them for egg white omelets or for meringue recipes. Thanks again for sharing your recipe secrets.

  • You're a good teacher! I tried this recipe, only that I used a mixture of old fashioned Caribbean creole chocolate and coconut milk instead of french vanilla and the 1 cup skimmed milk, and it came out great! Thanks again.

  • I love your recipes and the way you explain.

    Great job!

  • Fantactic!!! Made this ice cream yesterday and everyone loved it! thank you for sharing!!!

  • Scott at at a restaraunt I notice they have little dark beads in their vanilla ice cream. I thought they were vanilla pods but I have actually no idea. Is it sugar? Does your recipe have that? Or is it all smooth white in color?

  • @TheAwesomeJassim The small beads are Vanilla pod seeds. Its used in traditional higher quality Vanilla Ice Cream.

  • awesome

  • awesome

  • can u do mint chocolate chip

  • can u do mint chocolate chip and what if you don't have an ice cream maker

  • Hi, I just made a hot vanilla mix and I placed it in the fridge to chill.

I was just wondering if using a coffee creamer would work? I didn't have any heavy cream on hand, unfortunately, so I used the coffee creamer, and things went along smoothly; but I am worried about how the ice cream is going to taste. I had to mix creamer (powder form) with water. The package said it's used for coffee, but cooking too. I suspect it is okay? Very nice video! Thanks for sharing your ideas.

  • Great video, fabulous personality, and beautiful kitchen.

  • i love icecream

  • great recipe and video! I've made ice cream in the past, not as good as yours, but the issue i had was that it froze solid in the freezer, like a rock. do you have that problem? Thank You

  • @pbhello - it sounds like you may not be churning enough air into the custard as it freezes in your ice cream maker. Try churning the custard for at least 30 minutes until it is the consistancy of 'soft serve' then continue churning until the mixture increases in volume. Hopefully this will help. Best of luck, Scott

  • You have such a lovely kitchen! And also that's look delicious just watching you eat it hehe :) do you think it'd still taste good if I use green tea?

  • small coffee can, put icecream in it, seal well. then put into a larger coffee can with ice and some salt and roll / shake for a while lol

  • @warmachine2012 you can put it in the freezer, and take it out every 2 hours to churn it with a fork until you achieve a scoopable texture.

  • What is the name of the heavy cream that you use? and can I buy it as Jewel or Stracks? or somewhere else?

  • This looks like...............well its good but i really dont like icecream but itlooks good ill try the icecream though

  • can you use something else than eggs, because I am a vegetarian and I can't eat eggs. reply me back

  • try using the 'fake' eggs, like liquid egg, or does that still have real egg in it?

  • u can use eggs eggs in the store were never going to be chickens cuase the were never fertilized

  • kc2son is right. eggs can only become chicks if they have been fertlised by a rooster i think it is.

  • You're vegetarian but you can't "eat eggs"? ...that means you're a vegan - not a vegetarian. Vegetarians eat eggs.

  • im my religion I can't eat egg but ican drink milk and eat other dairy products but no eggs

  • What religion would that be?

  • i hav a question...what if i have no ice cream maker?....

  • after you make it u put it in the fridge. Then every hour u take it out and u mess it. Then back to the fridge. 3-4 times are needed for the ice cream to get creamy.

  • ok...thank you!...

  • You are an EXCELLENT COOK!!: D

can i pls make a teeny mini suggestion tho-maybe a closeup shot of the mixture as u were boiling it could've been rly helpful-i was tryin to guess the temp&it turned into a half-scramble the 1st time i tried-but it worked da 2nd time! xxthxs heapsxx

    yum*

  • hey i just wanted to say that your video was very helpful. i also wanted to see if you would try something that my family makes. its cantelope ice cream. see if you can make it and let me know what you thunk.

  • uhm can i ask a question?. well he other day we followed your recipe of the french vanilla ice cream but when we put the mixture in the fridge it was only there for 12 hours. when we transferd it to the uhm old fasioned ice cream maker it ddnt work like right after 40 mins nothing changed it was still the same. what do you think is the problem?. is it because we only put it in thee fridge for 12 hours?..

  • The custad must be extremely cold before you put it into the icecream freezer. Your icecream freezer must also be extremely cold... meaning with ice and salt... unless your using a modern icecream freezer such as demonstrated. Sounds like your custard or your icecream freezer were just too warm.

  • Looks yummy so i think i will trying it thank you for putting this video on youtube!

  • i will try this one day but i will use chocolate powder

  • I love it! I used an old fashioned machine and it worked beautifully. Highly recommend trying this!

  • now this is a proper vid to make ice cream,, others use the stupid bag n ice method which is a waste of salt

  • Great video, thanks a lot. I followed your recipe and it's delicious :)
