It's not a remake or a new game, it's a port. If you want to be more specific, it's an "enhanced port." Just because they throw a few extras in doesn't make it not a port.

What pisses me off is Square-Enix's incessant desire to make us wait 9 to 10 months later for a game after the JPN release when games like Suikoden Tierkris, Castlevania, and others have quicker English releases. Its not impossible to hire the translating team and voice cast while you're developing the game because its been proven that its been done before.
I feel your pain on that one. While, I'm waiting to see Suikoden(I love the series) the damn localization is so lazy, but hey, what ya going to do? I guess the team we have are slow as hell. Surprised we are getting Persona 4 so soon stated side, but that is Altus and they pretty much do alright work.
yeah Persona4, look how quick; thats what i'm saying. Theres no excuse for Square, theyre freaking assholes when it comes to that, bnut otherwise they make cool games. hate waiting but whatever
One of the things that I liked about this game is that your power wasn't based on a level system.
Your power came from what you created through alchemy. But aside from that, having underpowered equipment is the same as being underleveled.

multiplayer battles, more items to synthesize, and a jump start option. that's what i know off the top of my head.
