Not bad, in order to get experience the same feel you need to drop some acid. The technique never is the same as the experience of an LSD trip while playing. As you may know. As far as the time 30 minute acid song it is the staple of acid music.
my compliments on some great musicianship! i would love to know how you got your cymbals to sound so nice and crisp. i also have the nt5's as overheads but they sound like mud compared to yours.
@brendanvdrums Thank you! Guitarist did the mix, I think there's at least some compression and EQ added to the overhead-tracks. The most important thing in recording thou is the thing that makes the sound. In other words, if you want better cymbal sounds, you probably need to buy better cymbals. Even the most expensive mic in the world won't help if you're recording something that doesn't sound the way you want it to sound. You can make things less worse with EQ etc but it's not the same thing.
This is probably the best Sort of 60;s ish rock stuff I've heard great recording sound and image and i love how well the parts blend when it's just a jam.
@Angelyzer Thanks! There are too many cymbals.. crashes are Meinl Byzance 18 thin and 19 med-thin, ride Sabian HHX 21 groove ride, Zildjian K 14 hats, Stagg traditional 18 china, meinl byzance 8" splash and customized classics splash, stagg black metal 7" light bell.. at least. You'll find my gear list on many of my other videos and on my homepage (link in the profile).
@pyhtio heyy man! is all good? well, i want to know if you recommend me the Stagg one.. the china one.. is it good? it last at least, because i love the sound, and i really think about buy it! thanks!
Hey great Jam guys! Gotta love 3 great musicians just having fun. also, 5 stars on the mic'ing and sound alone. everything sounds fantastic. I don't know if it's the equipment or just your skills but great job man. Keep it up!
The mics are D112 in bass drum, Shure SM57 on snare, Beyerdynamic Opus 87's on toms, Rode NT-5 overheads. Sennheiser e604 on bass amp and I think another SM57 on guitar amp. Recorded with Presonus Firepod attached to a Macbook running Logic. I think that's all. :) Good sounding instruments too, of course.

@666MetalFuck Yes, 18" Stagg Traditional china is a lot of bang for the buck, I definitely recommend it.

The first part was nice and mellow, then this part came out with a more upbeat Fugazi sound. Great job. I love it.
Has likeness to one of their songs..not sure which one exactly. Could be "suggestion" or "promises".

What effects is your bassist using? I am loving that fuzzy-overdriven tone.
PowrSlaveNF 2 years ago
All I know there's a lot of them :) But I asked him, said he uses Digitech Bad Monkey for slight distortion and the bigger one is Jacques Bat Fuzz!
