  • The female Bowie, awesome

  • This is what REAL talent and music sounds like!!!!

  • gotta be strong now

  • when i was 13 i decided this was gonna be my favourite band. boy, have i always been a genius! still glad about that decision

  • best performance i have seen of this song yet....

  • a stunning performance of Annie, I´ve got goosebumps on the complete body

  • I can't even tell weather this species is "male" or "female"

  • I saw her live in 2004 (as i remember)--she was fabulous...surprisingly so...

I've seen performances that at times were weak...I do believe she is getting better with age.

  • this song should've been number 1 for about a year.......

  • perfect sound and a fantastic band.

  • man, her voice... amazing.. sounds exactly like the recording of the song.. but shes not lip syncing.. awesome.

  • Such a polished performer. Stunning. Even moreso live.

  • remeber, new song for you. fizzkick

  • I think what is most striking about this performance is how much the musicians and singers all seem to be having a great time--It's hard for it not to be infectious:-)

  • Great performance.

  • After the change from cassette and vynal to CD, other the the Greatests hits collections, Savage was the only Eurythimics album I replaced. And that say something. Every song on it spoke to me, much like Diva did.

  • Dreseph30,

Savage was externally personal since Annie "dissociates" as psychologists put it. In other words, she fully relays persona which is real. Some call it "histrionic" but I would only agree if they mean that in the old-world psychoanalysis way.

  • Yes, you are right! Savage and Diva are masterpiece!!!! in these days I listen Savage album a lot

  • yes she has. But she's performed so many times, can you imagine the burnout from that? I'd fall flat on my ass by her age here. But look at that energy! I think her peak artistically was with Diva, her first solo, and Savage by Eurythmics.

  • I agree that Diva was a high point artistically...and Savage is an Astounding achievement--hideously ignored in many ways--but I appreciate her more personal, more "mature" recent efforts. (and I agree that her energy is impressive here).

  • Does anyone else pick up on Dave Stewart looking astounded at Annie's performance?

  • I noticed. If you look back at some early Eurythmics live it may explain it--she was hitting her peak about this time. I saw her with Sting a year or so before this and she was unbelievably great...although I think she's been more hit or miss the last couple of years.

  • In an interview, Annie said that was the last thing they thought they could say to the world. It is their last song and single.

  • She's 26 yrs older than me, but has three times the energy I do!! Wow, Bob.

  • This is the best live performance I've ever seen them put on.

  • What a trip it would be to be Annie Lennox for a day--preferably a day when she's performing as fantastically as she is here. Absolutely Fan-F-ing-Tastic!

  • This might be my very favorite live performance ever. How many people can pull off their digital track to sound better--or at least near so--live?

  • Great..chills!! Wonderful performance.

Annie's voice was at its prime between 2004-2007.."she always has a great voice"..I love how powerful her lower belt is and how she can shoot up high too with the vocals...Wish the Eurythmics would do one more album.

  • This might sound pretty corny, but this song seriously got me through coming out of the closet my junior year of high school. It was such a struggle for me even though everyone knew already and this song truly kept me going. I wouldn't be the person I am today without this song. Thanks Annie and Dave....it means the world to me :)

  • hey, that's a beautiful post. very heartfelt.

  • Wow Wow Wow there are very few songs that a really adore first time I hear them sung live by the BEST EVER female artist. This is one of those few songs, the lst one sung live by U2 "beautiful day". Keep going Annie and indeed Dave who soetimes doesn't get the gratis he deserves

  • Thank you Annie for the unbeatable optimism.

  • Boiling with her passion and energy. Brings me a real joy listening to it.

  • Go on the Annie! F*** me her voice is powerful here!!!

  • OMG! I have just Melted completely! She has the most amazing voice WOW...

  • I could't have said it better Laura!

    She's great!

  • Eurythmics, best band in the world!

    Love Annie & Dave!

    Please come back!

  • Going to have to declare my love for her too. Wonder when she'll tour again?

  • WOW

  • shes rocking out!

    love it!

  • Amazing band, even more amazing woman and singer-Annie Lennox- LEGEND!!!

  • Speechless--the best eurythmics performance since Day Goes Down acoustic version...simply awesome, thanks for this!!!

  • I have already made this comment somewhere else, but again and again, someone please give her a lifetime achievement whatever award, for she's REALLY REALLY REAAAAAAAALLY awesome. This song is one THE most amazing songs ever written, short and powerful, and her voice adds sooooo much depth to it. What's not to love about her?

  • this is still the baddest woman on the planet when it comes to singing. goddam makes you get the holy ghost lmao

  • How I adore this woman!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lennox also reprised her "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" image by performing the song in a man's suit (her hair was not shaved and colored orange, however).

  • which show was this? is that the nbc logo?

  • could be but there is the olympic logo aswell

  • the curtain looks like the one on saturday night live

  • Looks like it might be the set for Saturday Night Live.

  • @tigersaregreat99 I don't think they ever did SNL since the 80's. This is most likely Jay Leno when he was at The Tonight Show (The first time)

  • Okay shwartzigigi, thanks for the info.

  • FIERCE!

  • theme song to my life and ex partner!!! thank u annie and dave for your words!!! PRICELESS

  • Just as I expected - this is *AMAZING* live!!!

Perfect song. And fun too! Thanks for posting!! :)

  • i love Annie's voice!!!!

  • she's gotta be one of the greatest singers there has ever been... i cant recall any one that could match her.. from the past to the present..

  • She already is.

  • @Toewipe I agree she is one of the greatest singers, but don't forget Freddie Mercury.

  • @forgil Annie + Freddie....GODS!

  • I've got a life, but it refuses to shine. It's dog eat dog, the only thing they'll do is hate you, hate you! It ain't over. I've gotta wait.

    Sing it Annie!!!

  • Oh- talk about getting shivers and those curious little "goosebumps"!!! TRULY awesome, that voice.. what power, passion and compassion. Thank you so much for posting this incredible video!! Sorta like a "hug from the ~Uni*verse~".

  • a fantastic performance. One of the best songs they have done...why annie never did this song on her current tour is beyond me.

  • I love Annie Lennox
