There were never 1000 u-boats active at any one time. They were lucky to have 100 u-boats out on patrol.
Russian mass production never would have happened if everyone starved to death. It took awhile before the Russians could ramp up their factories. And it was shipments of raw materials and that kept the factories running. In the early years of the war, US aid kept Russians alive.
The Germans did not have a navy in the pacific, by the way. Much of the aid was sent via the Pacific route. Supplies were also going over land through Iran. And the battle for the North Atlantic, as it was known, at most they were only sinking about 30% of the shipping, not 100%.
And how do you think the Russians learned to mass produce anything? All of a sudden they just knew? Could it be that the largest industrial power in the world gave them a little help with that?

So again this is question of history - Japan could loose even without US bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Could be stopped by USSR without other help. Or could not. No one knows alternative way of history.

Actually Stalin didnot order the Allies to open up the Western Front as if the West were his puppets.
Instead it required a great deal of preparation to launch an amphibious invasion into Normandy. Remember that the Allied landing in 1942 under Mountbatten was a complete and utter disaster. A great deal od preparation...ie saturation bombing, air supremacy, and operation suprise was needed to make the landings successful.

The US was already involved in WWII from the beginning by defying Germany's blockade of Britain. There was already an undeclared war going on. German U-boats were sinking American merchant ships destined for England and American destroyer escorts were firing on U-boats in defense of the merchant ships.
And just because Germany declared war on the US doesn't mean we had to do anything. Germany was incapable of invading the US. We did not have to send troops to Europe.

The Russians were totally caught off guard and unprepared for a German invasion. They thought they had a non-aggression treaty with Germany. Hitler never intended to honor that treaty and betrayed Stalin by invading.
Russia's military was totally unprepared and ill-equipped and outdated and suffered very heavy losses.

I'am not making this information up I have read numerous books about WW2 and have read books by neutral writers who were not biased. Russian mass production of military equipment during move to siberia saved russia not american aid.

There were never 1000 u-boats active at any one time. They were lucky to have 100 u-boats out on patrol.
Russian mass production never would have happened if everyone starved to death. It took awhile before the Russians could ramp up their factories. And it was shipments of raw materials and that kept the factories running. In the early years of the war, US aid kept Russians alive.

The Germans did not have a navy in the pacific, by the way. Much of the aid was sent via the Pacific route. Supplies were also going over land through Iran. And the battle for the North Atlantic, as it was known, at most they were only sinking about 30% of the shipping, not 100%.
And how do you think the Russians learned to mass produce anything? All of a sudden they just knew? Could it be that the largest industrial power in the world gave them a little help with that?

America did not save USSR and the aid that was sent was symbolic. Even in such bad conditions where Russia was at the time to be able to stop Germany and then from a defensive turn into the biggest offensive military in less then 3 years in not recorded anywhere in the history of the world.

Of course, but I must say, that in 1939 Japanese forces tried to push into the Soviet Far East from Manchuria. They were soundly defeated in the Battle of Khalkhin Gol (4 months battle) by a mixed Soviet and Mongolian force led by Georgy Zhukov. This stopped Japanese expansion to the north. So again this is question of history - Japan could loose even without US bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Could be stopped by USSR without other help. Or could not. No one knows alternative way of history.

On 11 december GERMANY (with Italy) declared war against USA (not opposite, so Hitler didn't give choice to USA not to fight against Germany).
During 1941-1944 the most biggest battles were on Eastern Front in USSR (Stalingrad, Kursk, Smolensk, and many more)
ONLY on 6 June 1944 USA,UK,Canada opened West Front (mostly because of Stalin's order on Teheran Conference).
So yes, USSR saved Europe.

Actually Stalin didnot order the Allies to open up the Western Front as if the West were his puppets.
Instead it required a great deal of preparation to launch an amphibious invasion into Normandy. Remember that the Allied landing in 1942 under Mountbatten was a complete and utter disaster. A great deal od preparation...ie saturation bombing, air supremacy, and operation suprise was needed to make the landings successful.

Actually USSR was in it for its own interest, and not for alturistic reasons of Saving Europe as you point out Igor...How come they installed Pro-communist governments in Poland, Cezechoslovakia, East Germany and others then??
How come they garrisoned Eastern Europe, crushed pro-democracy movements, and cordoned off East Berlin with concrete, barbed wire, and machine guns

yeah of course peral harbor. What i should have said that is that the main reason the USA went into Europe was so that the Soviets did not liberate all of europe. We sat and waited while jews where slaughtered and while 30 million Russians died and other Allies where being destroyed. But the second we thought that the Russians might actually win all of Europe thats when we decided to jump in.

1)Because USA always protect OWN interests. Not interests of other nations and interests of humanity. If Germany would not declare war, it's officially well-known, that Roosevelt would not involve US in WW2, even when Europe and especially USSR were losting millions. But of course, today, brainwashing education system in US teach Americans, that it's US who won WW2, and many of you blindly beleive this, ignoring all facts about Eastern Front.

Russia may be multi- national in the some sense. But I have been to Saint Petersburg and Moscow several times and 99% fo the people I see are white.

Like S Ossetia invaded by Georgia, Russian's gave help because its part or near of Russia. I think what he is talking about is US interests, where that country had participated in the most wars in the past century.

@SmelDiferenToMidget Roosevelt was a good president i think the best president US ever had or ever will have. He understood Russians and Stalin really liked him, as the matter of fact they would have come to an agreement regarding EU and there would never have been a cold war or massive arms build up after the 1945. Roosevelt died and Truman came to power and he spat on every deal Roosevelt had made and started to threaten USSR which then retaliated with their own policies.

The US was already involved in WWII from the beginning by defying Germany's blockade of Britain. There was already an undeclared war going on. German U-boats were sinking American merchant ships destined for England and American destroyer escorts were firing on U-boats in defense of the merchant ships.
And just because Germany declared war on the US doesn't mean we had to do anything. Germany was incapable of invading the US. We did not have to send troops to Europe.

They fucked up because they invaded Russia which is unconqeurable... if they concetarted on Britain would have fell within 3 monhts. Then they could have invaded us thru mexico and other s.american countries which were on the brink of military alliance with germas. American neeaded ww2 MORE THEN germany .

There was no deal made between Germany and Mexico or any S. American countries to invade the US. That may have been their plan but no one took them up on their offer.
You still have the problem of transporting a large army over long distances to the American continent. You can't sneak millions of soldiers and their equipment over from Germany without being noticed. The US would have sunk every transport ship sent over. Besides, the Germans had their hands full.

Germany had an unofficial deal with Mexico, but this failed as Germans got outstreched in Russia which was their fatal mistake. Have they not invaded Russia Britain would fall in the matter of weeks. Hitler even had invasion plans of US through New York, jet powered bombers were being designed.

Germany could not invade Britain without destroying it's navy and air force first. So it didn't matter if Germany had an extra 3 million troops to spare.
Britain's navy was much bigger than Germany's. Britain's air force and air defenses was more than Germany could take on, apparently.

Russians were starving. They were starving even before their farmlands were overrun by the Germans due to communist ideology of collective farming and mismanagement. Russia was near collapse and starving to death.
The United States stepped in with massive amounts of aid, including food, ammunition, guns, tanks, planes, raw materials for their factories, trains, trucks, etc. This kept them alive and going and they were able to eventually recover.
