  • i used to feed them just like that but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • I still remember a great walk at Chalk Hill on the campus of Los Angeles Pierce Junior College in Woodland Hills California. It was on Sunday, 25 September 2009 after 12:30 PM after I saw huming bird sit on a wire about foot away, this made my day.

  • Incredible. That must have been an amazing experience.

  • This is Amazing. I always wanted to feed my birds, but they never eat food from my hands. I wish I could get a chance to feed them.

  • I hope you won't eat them as you do to other animals :(

  • One in the hand is worth two in the bush!

  • that is just wonderfull....!!

  • 1:13 - So, they DO draw blood!

  • the narration is cringeworthy

  • That's so cool

  • I have hummingbirds in my backyard and I love to sit with them during the day while I am reading, praying and/ or meditating. This video just made my day.I have tons of hummingbird video but nothing can compare to this.Congradulations!!! This is awesome.I love it!!! Very well done.Thankyou for sharing.Just a note.I make my hummingbird food from scratch and I never use red dye.I am not implying that you folks do.I am just saying I give them 100% natural. Thanks again

  • @1kembuh What exactly do you feed them? I'd like to attract some. I live in Michigan and have only seen one in my life and it was 20 years ago, I'd love my 16 year old to be able to see one too

  • @SnowyDae Hi there and thankyou for the response. In a big clean pot free of grease or any old food debris.I mix one cup real sugar(not splenda) with 4 cups of purified water and bring it to a rolling boil stir it up real good. Then turn it off and let it cool completely.Once it is completely cooled off,I stir it up again and then pour it into the hummingbird feeder.Whatever is left over I put into a sterile container and put it in the refrigerator

  • I sparsely use the word gay as an adjective but this narroration is extremely gay.

  • Amazing! So cool!

  • bellissimo video !!!!

  • Nice, but the backingmusic is way too loud

  • At frist when i saw the thumb nail, was inimidated it was blood and it was a made up video. but this is legit :p

  • cheesy,

  • Amazing video , I really love it

  • Do you have solar panels on your roof?? Coal burning power plants in California kill humming birds migrating to Mexico. If Germany can be 100% powered by solar & renewables, so can Alaska. Please.

  • @paul8kangas I don't know where you go those figures considering the fact that by the 2nd quarter of 2011, only 20.8% of Germany's power came from renewable sources.

  • Thank you we love the experience me & Zakary 5 years old! keep up the good work!

  • Rufus is a dick

  • Amazing! Speachless.... in total ahhhh

  • Thank you for not using red dye anymore. :D I love hummingbirds

  • This movie is about hend fandleman hundingburd. By SaltyLudge!!!!!!!:)

  • this movie is about hand fandleman hundingburd

  • this movie is about hand fandleman hundingburd

  • Outstanding video! This took my breath away and brought me a smile! We have resident Anna's hummingbirds in Portland, Oregon. Many hear do not realize that if you continue to clean & supply the feeders, they WILL come. I've also seen Rufous Hummingbirds at specific times & they fight with the Anna's over the feeders & why we always have 9 feeders around our home to lessen fighting. Seeing a hummingbird in the midst of winter on the coldest days in PDX,makes it feel like spring all year around.

  • @CindyPDX Oops meant HERE not HEAR.

  • it s great ,

there s no word abt this video

  • Amazing video, tks for share with us

  • this is truly beautiful

  • Didn't know about the red dye, Thanks!

  • Beautiful video, but please eliminate the red food color from the sugar nectar. Hummers' digestive systems cannot digest the dye and it will give them diarrhea. If they eat too much it will eventually kill them. They don't need the red food color to find the nectar, they explore everything and can easily find nectar in any type of container. Thank you for the upload.

  • @DrWoodyII

LOL, you just made me imagine hummingbirds with explosive diarrhoea.

  • @DrWoodyII bullshit.

  • look at our birds type in some of the birds and its me with my bro

  • migrating from mexico ? arent you glad that they dont get shot while crossing the border

  • Aww this is the sweetest video once i ever seen :)

  • my wife loves humming birds,we feed from a feeder every season

  • awesome video. thank you!

  • turn the volume down, lov! these folks are humminbird whisperers!! how incredible would that be??? i die of axphyxiation, afraid to breathe...

  • I don't use any food coloring, as the base of the feeder is red, and that alone attracts the birds, as does any clothing with red. I use unrefined cane sugar and I mix it 2 parts water to one part sugar. The Anna's Hummingbirds love it! Also, make sure to check the feeder often, as it becomes a breeding ground for mold; change the nectar often. We have Rufous and Anna's Hummingbirds in Puget Sound; they do no migrate for the winter: keep your feeders out. Wonderful video & photos!

  • wow so lucky

  • what is the red color liquid? sort of syrup or something?

that was a wonderful shot!! and they are so lovely <3

  • the "shot" moved me so much.

I really think it's beautiful, but I really really hope that their pure heart of birds/animal will not be stepped on by other human, human that might destroy and use their trust in selfish way.

  • what is "hummingbird" in german?

  • AWESOME video, but was this awful music really necessary? It distracted me a lot

  • Τhe most beautiful video I ever saw !!!

  • HAHAHAHA you seen ther little Tongue ? i bet they can lick......

  • Wow

  • Aw! Beautiful photography & adorable birds!

  • Some rubythroats built a nest in a small tree in our back yard many years ago. Tiny nest with two pea sized eggs.

  • delightful :)

  • Hummingbirds used to fly into my house in Pescadero, California and they would land on my finger and I would carry them around inside and then outside to set them free. They were never afraid of me. Apparently they aren't afraid of people.

What a wonderful video you've posted. Looks like you have a beautiful lodge for family and visitors alike!

  • @CommentsSurvey i would be terrified if one landed on my finger i would freak out lol

  • @move5156 : No, you would LOVE IT! They are so light you would hardly know they are there!

  • sooo beautiful.... :))) and amazing

  • 2:53

  • very beautiful experience :)

  • الله وايد احب الطير الطنان :)

  • This is marvelous, BUT if you try this PLEASE do not dye the nectar! The red dye is potentially harmful to the birds!

  • @profrt They stated in the video/description that they no longer use the dye.

  • I have a couple hummingbirds that hang out in my back yard that I'd like to try this with. There's Sparky, the "alpha male", Megan, the elusive female, and George, the smaller male who seems the most relaxed around people. :)

  • i wanna go there0_0

  • wonderful picture of handfeeding hummingbirds, but BE SURE that your Hands are VERY CLEAN...or you could get them sick....

  • i found a few hummingbirds in nevada no joke its so cute it makes me fel so calm and happy:D

  • I used to do this all the time when I was very small... My mother still has photos of me being so patient in front of the feeder all by my lonesome. lol

  • dafuq?

  • ...I love hummingbird....

  • to all who have never seen a humming bird in person, it truly is a sight to behold. I've yet to see film that captures it's beauty quite like the actual animal. I recommend going on a visit to a place abundant in these magnificent creatures and definitely not in some sort of zoo or conservatory

  • Weird part of youtube?

  • @MilkeyGueyVideos weird but nice^^

  • Great....BUT......Processed sugar is not good for humans and we should not be feeding birds this as well ...go for something natural..like honey.....what we don't want for ourselves, we should not want for others....and that includes all other forms of life.....

  • Super nice

  • me gusta

  • thats really cool, but i dont have the patience to stand and wait for ten minutes

  • @PeopleTheseDaysSmell hahaahaha same here

  • Hummingbirds : my love for ever !!! Great thanks for sharing !

  • Those hummingbirds are so darling! The hummingbird is my very favorite. I've always tried to get those little guys on film too, but what a "shot" you got! Thanks for putting this up on You Tube.. I hope you get lots of people visiting your Sultry Lodge. ps: I used to raise gouldian finches from Queensland, Australie. They were so beautiful too. (You can see pictures of gouldians on the old Kodak commercials).

  • This was truely insperational. I loved every minute of this video it was so restful and pleasing as if i were right there . My daughter and I really loved it. May God bless you .

  • you are not suppose to use red dye with the nectar it can kill them.the hummers are attracted to the color red for some reason.

  • Ahhh I Think One Of Them Drowned In That "Blood"

  • fuck you whoever wrote those words. though it was really beautiful

  • I enjoyed your video. It has been added to our blog TrustBingo. Keep up the good work!

  • To ja polak z Polski. Nie wiem dlaczego akurat ten film chcemy przejąć, ale akurat tak wypadło.

  • @FXSzewC stupid polock

  • @FXSzewC ???

  • what kind of camera is being used in this video?

  • That was beautiful, wow...

Now, try that with some woodpeckers.

  • I had hummingbirds drinking from my coffee cup every morning on the porch, in Washington State, but your right it takes about 4/1 sugar to keep them interested. Never liked the red dye thing. My most interesting observation was the mothers teaching their young to clean microscopic insects off the windows. They fear nothing except another hummingbird, not even our cats could catch one.

  • I wish I could see this many hummingbirds at my house

  • so uhm, i was looking for christofer drew...

  • Wow!!!! Beautiful!

  • impressive...

  • Go home and be a family Hummingbird. This needs Guile's theme.

  • The narrator is fucking nauseating! Otherwise, amazing video!

  • THIS is more than beautiful!

  • Thumbs up if you played it again to hear the narrators voice.

  • patience pays...very beautifully captured...thanks for posting it....

  • whoever is speaking get a job on e4

  • I cant believe these little fuckers migrate. They're so little and cute. My manliness has been altered.

  • they're like big wasps, amazing footage though

  • The music and the narrator make this video really really tacky.

  • Lindo Vídeo...

  • you have beautiful hands :)

  • WTF Gassy_Mexican???!?!

  • Delightful film. Alaska n humming birds not two concepts I'd previously linked together. Thank you.

  • Really cool! Glad you shared this with us despite some people's negative comments...

  • This is awesome! You were blessed for this amazing encounter!

  • His voice sort of removed the magic through describing the experience in such literal terms... -_-

  • @Lydario Yes, I agree with you.

I thought the advert voice-over voice detracts absolutely from the sheer magic of the images.

  • Like if you thought the red dye in the picture was the guys hand bleeding.

  • @imnogoodatusername haha i was thinking of commenting and saying that for my moment of fame... Then you clicked this video lol

  • @imnogoodatusername LMAO YESSS!!!! XD

  • @imnogoodatusername Wow 204 people are dumb

  • Oh, is that COOL! You have more hummingbirds there than we do in Wisconsin. I could only wish I could have so many hummers around. Very nice video, but you could have left off the tourism speech for this on YouTube. I found it distracting. I would have liked to hear the hummingbirds. Great photos.

  • Loved the video! Am going to share it. Thank You.

  • They remind me of houseflies (having so many hovering about like that). :S

  • I clicked this because it looked like some retard got bit trying to hand feed a bird but it was just the nectar

  • Ahhhhhh! look at how cute it is.

  • Beautiful touching story.

  • Wouldn't it be scary if that beak suddenly stabbed his hand and sucked his blood?

  • that is awesome

  • This guy sounds like the guy who tells you to turn your cellphone off before a movie.

  • I can hand feed hummingbirds without going to Alaska.

  • Dude, that is what nature should be everywhere.

  • Cool! I'm going to try it this summer :)

  • This is great! My husband and I love hummingbirds....they are such amazing little creatures!
