I've rode a Honda XR 200 for 2.5 yrs. before I got my '05 YZ-450F. The YZ has a lot of power everywhere in the powerband in every gear from idle to the rev limiter. As long as you have riding experience for good throttle control and you can control the incredible torque, you should be fine. It handles the power really well for smooth delivery if you know what you are doing. If you are coming from a MX 250, there is no need to go to a 450. Only difference you'll notice is in top end and torque.

lmao im 15 i havbe a crf250r and i go crazy on it :) u duno if i should sell it and buy a crf450r but mabe i will regret it mabe ishould get it when im like 18 or so and enjoy the 250 is it a bad idear to get it so soonish?

dont get it yet, a 250 is plenty enough power, i know 23 year olds that race motocross and they still ride a 250f, so i would just wait, i often find that 450s are tough to handle and therefore take away from the fun of riding, unless you are big enough or you want to ride a rocket instead of a dirt bike.

You dont need a 450. with a 450 your just hanging on. You can actually control and get the full potential out of a 250. I garuntee you be happier if you stick with the 250.

if u want more power with out getting a 450 get a 250 2stroke they have more horse power and torque than a 250f

a yz250 has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy­yy more torque then an endur, enduros have smog shit on it and are heavier and also have mods so they dont overheat as easy on trails and crap
